Dear Transfer Admissions of Northwestern University,

Hello! Thank you for the fast reply.

My school is on a quarter system (UCLA) , so I believe our grades will be avaliable late June...

I have sent my winter grades.

Does that mean I would not be able to get a decision before the final grades are avaliable for spring quarter?

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

charlesjeon

i was reading through last year's thread, and someone from UCLA found out around June 23rd. a bunch of people found out at that time, actually

really? thanks

frig!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

hey guys! help! if i need to know my decision early, do you think i should email them? do any of you guys know who to email or a sample email?? thanks muchoo

I'm pretty sure all of us have been talking to Elijah Park, so I guess he would be the one to contact, though I'm not sure if you'd be able to expedite your decision.

charlesjeon, did you ever get a reply to your question about being on the quarter system and final grades coming out in late june?

i spoke with some guy today and he told me that spring grades are not necessary.

Spring grades are usually only needed if you are a freshman transfer or the university is on the fence with you. I think the admissions officer in charlesjeon's letter was oly referring to him.

The application status page indicates that all current freshman need to send their spring grades.

I'm not going to. I already accepted at WashU and I doubt NU is going to give me a better financial aid package.

Hey if anyone gets the email saying what documents, etc. you are missing, can you post on here? I want to know when they go out because I might be missing something.

Alright, I just got my spring grades in, and I need your guys' opinion. My GPA before grades was a 3.91, with only one B. My grades for this semester were 3 As and one B, and my GPA stayed at 3.91. Now here's where things get a bit more complicated.

Before this semester, I didn't take too many science classes (one) or any math classes. This quarter, however, I took one of each and received As in them.

So, here's my question: do I send in my spring transcripts or not? I'm not a transferring freshman, so from what I've heard, it's not necessary. But is it a good idea? I'd really like to get in to NU as my other reach school rejected me, so I'll do anything to improve my chances.

Thanks guys.

whats the problem exactly?

Does the good of me getting two As in classes that I haven't been taking outweigh the bad of getting another B?

dmorr, it depends on ur intended major, especially since u r applying as a junior transfer; if u stated interest in anything heavily related to science and/or math I'd send them, if not ur GPA remained constant so it prob wouldn't hurt. U should call and ask Elijah Park (I believe that's his name) for his personal opinion (847-467-1864)--he's the transfer admissions representative for Northwestern and he's been quite helpful in my experience.

Also, dmorr, if you do not mind me asking, what school do u currently attend? Your previous posts seem to imply that u attend a school in the Chicago area. Just curious (I currently attend DePaul).
