Official November 4 SAT Math Thread

sweet, did it matter where you put your answer ( in the 1st grid of the grid in or the last, when you have a single digit answer like 0)

pennywhistle1 - What question is that that you are talking about (The one with the multiplying by 2)? I only had 3 math sections, so I'm guessing I didn't have that one?

I thought it was overall pretty easy. I came out of there thinking I got all of them correct, but it looks like I missed one of them so far (The one about the 5x+1 numbers between 35 and 300; I put 52 because I counted all the numbers that are multiples of 10 between that range and multiplied that number by 2).

Did anyone have the problem about the circle inscribed in a square and you had to find the length of the square's side?

yeah, i think i put r x sqr rt(pi)

I'm liking how may answers turned out. I'm getting the same answers as everyone else.

*** happened? was cc down?

what wa the one about posters.. what exactly did the question ask.. it was like question 5 or something..

1$ for 1 poster.. 5$ for 6

for the posters i put..5 i think? i forget but it worked.

no that was a question about pencils

oh yeah, pack of pencils...sry forgot. it equaled 135 or something and there were 12 per pack and 5 per pack? lol.

i got 56 for the poster one

it said that they made 48 dollars for one day selling posters, what was the most posters they could sell. 48 divided by 5 evenly gets you to 45. which means 9*6=54 Now add 3 1$ posters to equal 48$ and you have 58 posters sold @nicole07

Edit: the total amount made may have been 47$, method is the same

yah that was 5 for the pencil package of 12
poster total was 56

i dont get it, if all of us did well, then how would the curve be. 1 wrong 760?

what did you guys get on the grid-in that asked you to find the angle measure of x? It was a triangle with 2 line segments going through it.

ohhhh i remember the poster one! yeah i got 56 for that too.

150 was the answer

there was no choice 58 lol
it ended at 56

that would be a bad curve...last time i took it, 2 wrong was 760

what the poster one.... whatd everyone else get!!

when was the curve 2 wrong 760?

I still couldn't figure out the question about the cube.

math was wayy too easy :)

oh, the cube?
it was basically

1st one: 3 because there was one on each side + one in the middle

2nd one: 3 + 2(2) + 2(2) + 2(1)
because 3 is from the first arrangement
2(2) is the new left side of the cube
2(2) i sthe new right side of teh cube
2(1) is the new middle part

3rd one: 13 + 3(3) + 3(3) + 3(1)
13 is combination of first & second arrangement
3(3) is th enew left side
3(3) is the new right side
3(1) is th enew middle part

4th one: 34 + 4(4) + 4(4) + 4(1)
34 is combination of 1st,2nd,3rd
4(4) is the new left side
4(4) i sht enew right side
4(1) is th enew middle part.

ehh i dont think tha tmade anysense :(
