Official November 4 SAT Math Thread

what about the dice question with the symbols of heart, triangle, square question?

the answer was 25 tables right??

last time i got 1 wrong and i got 780

i got 56 for the poster one as well

what about the one with the two circles overlapping and it asks
to find the area of the whole thing.. i think the area of the two circles were 25 and the overlapping part was 12

I almost forgot what a mode is during the test. What a stupid question

50-12 = 38

and mode one was 222245

What do you think -1 on the Math is? I put 53 for the 5x+1 but then changed it to 52 last second.

This is so vexing, cause I am pretty sure I aced the rest. Man if I get a 760 or something for -1, that would be -40 points over an answer off by 1.

we have a different mode question.

Aw...
There goes my 800...
I messed up the 35<5x+1<300. I changed from D (53, correct) to B after speedcounting incorrectly as I was checking, then to C after doing 60-7+1=54. Grr, I was dyslexic when i read 301 ~ 300...

Meh, I always screw up my 800 at the very end...

Overall, it was extremely easy. If I do not have any more careless mistakes, that question should be the only one that I missed.

Anyways, as always, take care and have a nice day!

madamebovary- was that choice C?

the one with the cubes and the heart and star was circle i think

and i think 1 wrong is a 780 for the oct/nov tests for the most part

Would colleges see the 760-800 as one equivalent tier of scores?

yes it was C

what was the one about a circle with radius r inscribed in a square with equal area, and you had to find the side of the square.

it was r* sqrt(pi)

what about a 3d rectangle and you had to find a diagonal

sweet! thats what i got.

The answer to the 3d rectangle's diagonal was 13. (99% sure, unless I did something really dumb...)

Hard to describe, but here is the mathematics:
12^2+3^2=153 (diagonal for bottom 2d rectangle)
then
4^2+153 = 169
sqrt(169)=13

3d diag. was the root of the sum of squares.

will leaving one blank (assuming the rest are right) keep you from getting an 800?
