^hey congrats man..not enough hope for me..

thelettinggo- who did your dad talk to? i still haven't even received the student news thing in the mail! our mail is so ridiculously screwed up down here! my mom mailed something to jersey from FL priority mail tuesday morning and it STILL hasn't gotten there when it's supposed to take 2-3 days.. i tried to call and find out but they won't say anything over the phone.. and said i'll get something by the end of the week.

I'm in Central Jersey (Somerset County)

I called as soon as I flipped through my mail 3 times and so did my mom. They said they weren't allowed to give decisions out over the phone... And they told me that if nothing arrives by WEDNSDAY to give them a call (as opposed to the Tues they originally wrote on the forums)

Also, part of my GPA issue is 1 class in particular: Precalc Honors, got a 78 in that class, my only C ever...... Me and that teacher just didn't get along...

Rejected. CAS.

wow tloeb1..if you got rejected with those stats..im sooooo rejected. any readon why you think you got rejected?

rejected. 3.5ish and 1360. trying to get recruited for track. multiple athletic awards and *****ing amazing essays. i'm not too bummed. it's not the end of the world, there are other schools.

i'm thinking they put A LOT of weight on the essay and supplements, cause lunasea's grades aren't close to what some of the rejected people had, but his essay and supplements were downright amazing. He did apply to journalism so mayb the great writing and potential major helped

I guess it was my gpa, NYU's big on grades. My guidance counselour said I was in no problem, so I guess I really don't know exactly. Eh, good luck to all.

ugh nothing in the mail today either. man i guess i am rejected..

I think I'm rejected too.

iloveshoppin: My dad called the admissions office, they directed him to Gallatin and he demanded that someone tell him the decision. They put him through 3 people and the third told him.

so u got in?

I was rejected. Damn. This was my dream. Oh well - I'm fully prepared to transfer as soon as possible to NYU.

to all my cc friends:

We stayed close these 2 weeks. We've been through anguish. We've been through thick and thin. Now, I have not been rejected, but I do feel it coming. I would just like to thank you people for helping me pull through these 2 weeks. I feel I am more prepared for rejection. I have truly lost the hope. But guys, it's one school. Maybe we'll get lucky in the future. Who knows right? Maybe you'll get into a good RD school. Anything is possible. Just because one "good looking" door is closed, does not mean there are not other good or even better doors. This is only short term guys. It's not the end. If people judge you from which school you go to, they have no reason to be in the presence of you because they are not worth your time. I would like to hope for exciting and great futures for you guys. These are not words of comfort. These are words of truth. I don't need to be telling you this, but sometimes we need reminding.

"The only thing you take to the grave is your corpse."

Just remember this. Though we will not see each other in this lifetime, be the best you truly can be. Leave something behind. You don't need NYU to do this. It might be a let down now, but trust me, life is NOT over. I know I have no write to say this now, but I feel I should say it.

Thank you guys, all of you.

-Richie

GALLATIN!!! Tracked down, and then hugged the mailman!!!!!! So excited...DON'T LOSE HOPE!!!! I know I had.

Anyway, I'm actually really glad I didn't get in. I wouldn't want to go to a school as prissy as NYU. The only reason I applied there early was because my family told me I'd fail them if I went to art school.

By the way, I'm pretty sure a big part of why I didn't get in is that I sent November SATIIs. They never gave me a straight answer about whether or not they'd accept them.. Kinda like how they never gave us any straight answers about our letters.

NYU doesn't deserve people as determined and loyal as us.

I got rejected to Stern.
I already cried my eyes out yesterday, because I had a feeling I was going to get a rejection letter. Whatever.

1500/2180 SATs
780, 720, 700 SATIIs
3.6 uw, 3.8 w

tloeb1, were your SAT scores from november?

Hey all,
I haven't been posting all that much here, but I just got in! I'm really, really excited.
I'm also really sorry to those who got rejected. I was SURE I was getting rejected. My letter was postmarked December 11th. I just thought for SURE I was getting rejected.
To those who haven't gotten their acceptance/rejection letters yet, don't give up hope. I did mostly, but I still had a little bit of hope today, just a tiny bit, and I am still in shock. You guys still have a chance. Less than 500 in the facebook group anyways, and 1000 usually get accepted.
Sorry for the poor English, I am just ecstatic though.
