Yep, I have one about a half of a mile away from my house!
I don't eat there though - I'm vegan. lol

Sweet! I am a vegetarian, but once I go to college, I will become vegan. My mom refuses to cook vegan food, so I just gotta wait a few months.

Props to both of you... I'm not sure that I could ever do that. I practically live on chicken.

yea
i dont know what life would be without all the meats I eat
i was a vegetarian when I was young but then I turned to the dark side
lol

the TCBY here closed too, but I think it was because the new owners sucked.

and i applied undecided (which I hope doesn't hurt me) but probably english, economics, math or political science. :-D!
haha, you?

^rstlne33, haha - I'm glad I amuse you. I could go on and on about how completely suck south carolina is. We got an olive garden like last year and everyone went crazy. It's also been rumored for the past 5 years that a Hollister is coming to our mall. The only places that make it here are McDonald's and Sears.

get me out, nyu. please.

Eww... Perry. I am so, so sorry. No one should have to live in a place where olive garden is the best food. No one.

incase anyone cares, I went a little crazy and used the stats thread to tally the percentage breakdown of applications to each school.
Chances are that our little CC breakdown is no good, but-you know- it's borderline interesting for us obsessives anyway.

CAS: 29%
Gallitain: 6%
Tisch: 14%
Stern: 31.4%
Steinhart: 14%
SCPS: 3%
GLSP: 3%
hahaha, i'm a nerd.

Agreed, bryan. It sucks hardcore. Whenever my friends and I go out to eat, the choices consist of about 4 places and those choices don't include the exciting new olive garden, trust me.

Perry: As much as that totally sucks, I have to admit that I laughed really hard when I read your post. And I thought my town was bad...

Hannah: It's all good though, because nerds rule the world, haven't you heard?

hannah - After i applied, i switched from CAS to Steinhardt. I put CAS on the stats page, though. I doubt it will make much difference percentage-wise.
It looks like Stern and CAS are the most applied-to schools. I guess that's good news for those of us who applied to the other schools.

roserows, you have no idea.

are you just saying things now to make me REALLY want to be your best friend? this is too good to be true....a vegan jew. :)) sorry for being so silly, im on an nyu high lately!

it's good news for basically everyone....
CAS is the biggest school, by far. about 28% of NYU's freshman classes are ED kids, so thats about 399 acceptances at CAS. If about 30% of the 2,990 kids who EDed applied to CAS, that would put the admissions at about 44%...
which is still super rough, but good.

Unfortunately, by that same logic, Stern's admissions would be at about 13.5%... Which is crazy.

it's good that this is all so arbitrary and made up, and most likely not even close to correct. ;-)

gah.
I'm clearly going crazy wishing I knew if I was in or out. hahahha

Don't worry Hannah, you'll get in, I promise.
:)

...Wow. Thanks for that.

:-P

hahahaha. thanks.
everyone promises, but I don't believe it.
does anyone want to trade short answers?
i'm wondering what everyone else wrote...
or even, just trade general topics? ;-)
i hope everyone gets in.

BE IN HAYDEN, YA'LL! (OMG, I am a Texan)

What does that even mean? Be in Hayden? City?

don't worry, even if I'm right which i'm very probably not.
that's about the same as the regular admissions to stern, which is when all of the kids who are also applying to Harvard and Wharton and Yale apply.
The ED applicant pool is likely a little bit weaker, on average, because the 2400, valedictorians, who are nationally ranked debaters and football players (yes both, haha) apply regular to keep their options open.
don't worry.
at least we all tried. ;-)

(I hate that, when you do poorly on something and people are like, 'at least you tried' I'd rather get a 50 on a test because i didn't read or study or pay attention or care than because i worked real hard and that's the best i could do... ) lmao, end rant.

"are you just saying things now to make me REALLY want to be your best friend? this is too good to be true....a vegan jew. ) sorry for being so silly, im on an nyu high lately!"

um... no. I am really a crazy liberal Jewish Vegetarian Animal rights activist.

But since you are my new vegan jewish loving friend, maybe you can help me out with this. I want a cute pair or uggs for school next year, but I dont know where to get vegan uggs (basically knockoffs that are vegan). Do you know where I can find these? I want to put them on my Hanukkah wish list.
