Some info I found:
For Fall 2007 Admissions there were 2878 ED applicants... 53% were accepted.

"For Fall 2007 Admissions there were 2878 ED applicants... 53% were accepted."

they accepted 30% last year.

^ That's interesting. Maybe the applicants were just stronger in 07?

there is no way only 30% of Early Decision got in last year...that's lower than regular decision rates...

^ No, it isn't. They accepted 33% of ED applicants last year and 25% regular.

NYU is just getting harder each year, it's acceptance rate use to be like 65% in the early 90's. It's come a long way.

Tisch and Stern acceptance rates are 24% and 23% respectively.

I wish they told us the ED break down of school admissions.
Like 600 applied to CAS and 300 got in, 200 applied to Tisch and 25 got in, etc.

haha, i'm obsessed with chances.

oh well, i love love love Fordham too.
I just feel so cliche having them as my second choice.

Its USC as a second choice for me. Its realistically the only other good b school I have a shot at. Maybe georgetown? idk if I want to apply there though. I dont like DC very much.
I always think it funny that people go to rinky dinky state schools or junior colleges and major in like, business/finance or some really lucrative field that makes money. Like, would they really have a shot against someone who graduated from NYU stern? Cause if they do, I am mad. I have busted my A$$ throughout highschool compared to somne of the people that partied 24/7, and even though I had the chance, I tried to stay out of trouble. They all go or are planning to go to state schools, not especially good ones at that, not even in US News top 300 schools or something, but they all major in those lucrative fields. Do they have a chance against other applicants such as ourselves? Cause if they do, I have been barking up the wrong tree. Definitely the wrong tree. Not even in the same orchard. lol.

frozenlight you're right. i was thinking about the stat collegeboard has up on their nyu profile; those are usually off. they have overall acceptance rate at 37%

applied to CAS...undecided. now i'm thinking that i should've put a major. :

Abe, I don't really think it depends on the college. I mean an NYU degree would look a lot better than degrees from other schools, but in the end it really depends on who you are and your business acumen.

Lol hannah, in a month those chances will be statistics! Haha

well, a month and a half. Now I need to start working on my other college ones.
Oh god, Obama better make nyu affordable. Isnt nyu on of the most expensive schools in the country?

Sent in my app last weekened. I'm very scared and excited. My essays were beautiful so I'm hoping that and my minority status will give me the edge I need for NYU stern.

but i'm preparing for the worst.

abe, it's third.

also, do we hear how many applied ED soon?

eeeek. I'm applying ED to Tisch and my audition's next Wednesday!

I doubt it hannah, they usually don't believe that kind of statistics until the following summer/fall.

Good luck on the audition!

And there's a NYU ED '13 Applicants group on facebook that you guys should join!

I just joined the group :).

Ahh I hate waiting. But it's strange to think that in only a little over a month I'll know whether or not I'll be going to NYU...
I really need to get started on all my other apps soon.

Arianna, good luck on your audition!

epik, we are one and the same.
good essaus, I wouldnt say beautiful, but I did thme to the best of my ability. I am also URM/first gen.

As we approach December 15th, is anyone else beginning to doubt their chances of getting in? The more I think about it, the more anxious I get. =/

most ppl didnt get them till late december.
