Although frivolous may be defined as carefree and silly, it resembles silly and trivial in most situations. The dad’s choice may ostensibly be frivolous if you were to account your personal bias. But,.since the sat is built on objectivity, we can’t say that his choice was frivolous because we aren’t sure and also there was no evidence supporting this. Arbitrary, on the other hand, was supported in the passage and his decision was random.

Is it only me, but the CR was no different from any other CR section. Actually, I thought it was unusually easy, even the answers stood out except for 2 questions. I didn’t find any ambiguity at all in the answers. There was always the ‘best answer’ & ‘good but not best’ answer.

@TheCalculator Yeah I think it was the nerves that really got me. Now that I think of it, even the ambiguous ones seem clear aghh! I’ve never struggled with time before with practice tests, but it felt like time literally flied by when I was doing the real thing. Does it get better after the first test? The nerves and all that? November SAT here I come…

Still praying that it’s going to be a -3 800

Is it true that the curve will be the same as December 2013? If so, we’re all screwed.

Anyone else?

A curve for CR never has yielded 740 not even 760 for two wrong. If it’s a harsh curve, two wrong Will be the least 780/790,with 780 indicating that every single question was super easy. Same thing goes for math, 2 wrong will only yield the lowest being 750. Most people were definitely lying when they said -2 for math was 740. I’m pretty sure the dec 2013 curve went like this for math:800(-0),790(-1),770(-2),740(-3),720/710(-4)…

I may be wrong about the difficulty of the December 2013 sat, but honestly if it’s going to be harsh to the point that 730 is 4 wrong in CR, the comprehension and vocab must be a joke. If you guys thought that CR was a joke then expect a harsh af curve. However, I doubt it because there were a few high level vocab questions that balanced it out IMO. I’m hoping that math is generous. Maybe -4=710/720. I’ll be content.

I’m just hoping for 700+ on math at this point. I got 3-5 incorrect and omitted one. I think I’ll get around a 700. I’m pretty sure I balled on CR and writing, but honestly who knows for CR.

I already attained a 750 last sat which really makes me pissed cuz I had no preparation prior to the may sat. My CR and writing were horrible because I didn’t practice with CB tests but hopefully now I’ll get mid 700s on both sections.

Math is so easy on the SAT. I just do not understand how so many people do not make silly mistakes like me…

Ikr ,even if there is a harsh curve, I’m pretty sure I’m set cuz I got none wrong on vocab and very few in comprehension. I’m retaking it just b/c of my math fiasco. I will practice math to the extent that if I can’t get 800s on ten practice tests consecutively, I’m going to cry.

If you miss 2 easy questions, you might get a 740. Doubt it on this one because of all the commotion, but yeah… I got 690 for 4 wrong, but my friend got 710 for 4 wrong for math once. Thats because I made silly errors on easy level problems, while he actually didnt know how to o the hard problems.

why are people talking about the december 2013 test?

@TheCalculator I took the december test and got -1=770 in math

Can someone calculate my score pls
M-0 wrong
Cr- 5-6?
W-1-2 with 10essay

@icepierre @TheCalculator A -1 770 and -2 740 curve in math has definitely happened before (happened to my brother). That said, I’m pretty confident that the math curve wouldn’t be as harsh for us. At least I hope so haha

Fingers crossed

honestly if you have taken the march SAT, that math was easier than October’s and that had the best math curve I have ever seen LOL. so we’re prob gonna have the same curve as that.

Did y’all get the one with the folding paper?

@TheCalculator On the June SAT, I only got 2 wrong (no blanks) on Math and still got a 740.

I guess harsh curves like this are relatively uncommon, but they happen.

Strangely enough, it seems the section that CC deems as “very difficult” is the one that also gets the harshest curve… double whammy.
