The name of the thread is pretty self-explanatory. post your predictions for november's sat test. and, if possible, please post the curves for any other previous test for us to more accurately gauge what nov's will be like!

november's test always has the biggest curve. so i REALLY hope there is a 1 pt curve for math. and i think the CR will have a bigger curve. not sure about writing tho.

what do u mean by 1 pt curve? and how do u think it will compare to October's curve (which comes out tomorrow I believe).

I didn't take Nov but my friends who took it all claimed that the math was a joke...one question how accurate are the curves? I mean do you feel that a score on one test truly equals the same score on a different test (that might be a stupid question lol)

he means that -1 will still be an 800..

im guessing -1 = 790 for math

hopefully -2 still 800 for critical?

i think it will be a pretty standard curve for the math. -1 = 780, -2 = 760, and so forth.

CR? hopefully pretty normal, if not harsh :(

I disagree.

I normally get 780-800 on Math and the harsher curved math sections don't have any tricky questions...they are all straightforward. However, on this Nov SAT I saw there were many tricky problems e.g. 54-65, r=9, hexagon= eq. triangle, etc.

My prediction:

-0= 800
-1= 800
-2= 780
-3= 760
-4= 730
-5= 720
-6= 710
-7= 690

i SO HOPE u r right...

i didnt think november's math was nearly as difficult as may's. but i sure hope you're right about the generous math curve!! i'll rejoice like none other, haha.

any thoughts on CR?? im somehow convinced that the curve will be harsher than usual, but prove me wrong :) for cr, i'm currently standing at roughly -6 raw. around what score would that be?

I don't think jask925 is right. I have never seen a -1 get a 800 on Math.

"I have never seen a -1 get a 800 on Math." - Big Dreams

It's evident that you haven't seen much since October 2006, January 2006, and May 2007 all had -1=800 Math curves. There are probably more test dates with -1, 800 curves that weren't QAS months.

What are QAS months?

will the different tests have different curves?

Gryffon5147- October, January, and May are QAS months.

mairoula517- All tests have different curves based on how students performed on the experimental sections.

Honestly, im hoping that its a -3 for CR 800, and i hope to god its a -1 800 for math because i missed that stupid .30608=3/10x etc problem. im not sure about writing yet, but i think that if u get a 12 u can usually miss 3 problems and still get an 800

I heard this month's math section was a easier than October's, and October had a monster math curve.

i thought nov's math was slightly harder than october's, so maybeee the curve will be more standard. i know, october's curve was brutal. i got -3 and that was a 730 :( boo.

also, did anyone think this month's CR was hard? i hope there'll be a general consensus that will indicate that the curve will be good lol

i thought cr was medium

do they have diff't curves for all the tests?
cuz i know there were at least 3 versions

three different versions? I think all of them are thee same except for the order in which you take them. And of course there's the experimental section, but it doesn't count.

no, there were three completely different versions of the test out in different places. So I'm guessing each test will have its own curve as well.
