Depends which schools you go to, but 2 Bs are not gonna kill your app. I had a B in 9th grade but I doubt schools, even the ivies, will use that as an excuse to not accept me, considering that I maintained a 5.0 during junior & senior year which shows an upward trend.

that’s very true, and I really want to agree with you and apply your situation with mine, but this is senior year for me, and these two dont look like they will be going too high any time soon… unless my physics teacher realizes that only 3 people have As in the class. As for stats, I heard that there are very generous extra credit opportunities, but my friend, who is very close with the teacher, said that he is not sure if he is going to offer that this year. Im hoping to god that he does. 4.0 unweighted looks so much better than 3.(anything)

4.0 UW does look good, but if you end up with a 3.9+, it’s not gonna be detrimental to your apps.

@BassGuitar The answer to both questions is the same, more or less. The SAT uses a curve meant to compensate between various difficulties and test-taking population differences. What that means is that the curve is adjusted for the difficulty (making a curve more generous/stricter), but the month to month or year to year scores reflect the same ability. Having more seniors take the exam in October won’t change your scores.
