Official October 14 SAT Test Proctor Thread

blow me (a bubble) gyros

I am surprised at how enthusiastic you are psyk. WHy would you even post htat much info rofl... i wish my proctor was a dumb***

My proctor was a decent sort. She read the instructions well, walked around a couple times every section, treated the test-takers like fairly equal human beings; she let a kid sit near the door because he was sick and wasn't sure if he was going to have to run to the restroom during the test (she did have to talk to the director guy to see if that was okay--apparently it was--since she'd never had a situation like that come up). She had a sense of humor when kids joked that we should post guards along the hallway and in the restroom so that if the kid did have to run out, we could be sure he wasn't quickly referencing some notes or something in the corridor or restroom stall. :p

I can't believe I forgot to take my calculator off my desk for the first multiple-choice verbal section, exactly like last time I took the SAT!. The proctor just tapped my calc and said "Please put that under your desk." I was sheepish. :o

ours threw away the clock?! didnt tell us the time....kept changing the time on the board...BEHIND US......walked around like a hawk....kept sneezing on me......so sickening....then she got mad during the break when i broke out my germ-x...

i dont understand...how does one cheat on the sat? bring vocabulary sheets? how would you pick out of the 3000 words? and wouldnt it be a hassle and obvious anyways? and math what would you use to cheat? and with writing? doesnt make sense to me

you could cheat by spending extra time on sections

I bet there are many who cheat by spending extra time. I think there are a few among us CC who did so on today's SAT.

i agree with csodave...the only way i think you can cheat on the SAT is by giving yourself more time...and maybe a few math formulas.

My proctor was my APUShistory teacher from last year, my room was almost the same room I had a class in for a whole year....so my environment was awesome. He just did his job, nothing bad/amazing. I did forget to take my calculator off my desk during the whole test (i didnt use it except on the math) and he didn't remember to tell me to put it under....w/e.

Today was a good day.

well, me from vancouver canada

we didn't even get started till 9;00, its so annoying.. we got to wait outside the test center for 1 hour...

and the teahcer was alright...read the instructions and "kept walking around the room , especially aroung me""

in my class, lots of people even opened the booklet without permission!!!!and when told to close it...they argued blah, blah...
and some people didn't even know they cound'nt go back or ahead..I doubt if they really didn't konw..
