Fellow applicant to Yale here.
Can’t really say honestly. You have good stats so definitely a chance, but with the competition nowadays you can’t really say.
Did anyone from Pakistan get an interview email from Dartmouth or Harvard? Do you know of any applicants who got it? I’m asking because Harvard and Dartmouth interviews are supposed to be selective for Pakistani students.
The Dartmouth interview has nothing to do with the shortlist. @ADP2322
“Interviews are not required and in many cases not available. While our alumni work hard to offer as many interviews as possible, we are not able to offer interviews to all applicants.
Not having an interview will not put you at a disadvantage in the admissions process. However, if you are offered an interview, it can help you learn something new about Dartmouth and allow you to add a little more of your own voice to your application.”
@LisaMK I know that is what the website says, but that’s not the case for Pakistan. Since last year, Dartmouth has only been offering interviews to shortlisted candidates. My Dartmouth interviewer himself told me that. And as far as Harvard is concerned, its a known fact in Pakistan that only shortlisted applicants get a Harvard interview (4-5 applicants from the entire country), as that has been the case for many years now in Pakistan. Yes, the website does not mention this, but this is the case for Harvard and Dartmouth. For the rest of the 6 ivies, this is not the case.
I emailed Dartmouth. They denied having such system in place.
But whatever the case it really doesn’t matter. Nobody applies to an ivy with high hopes anyways.
