Hi guys!
Making this thread so that we can all discuss and ask each other questions! Good luck everyone!
hey! So nervous AH does anyone know when decisions come out?
@bluesky26 I think results come out on the Friday before Dec 15, so Dec 9 this year.
If this is wrong though, please correct me.
Wow that seems so soon compared to a lot of other schools. Are you applying ED too? @kimjiwonjenny
Some interesting info I found out from attending an admissions q/a from Pomona: ED applicants are evaluated by a large group of officers, while RD applicants are evaluated individually by up to 3 people.
I’ll be applying RD by the way! I still have to start drafting my supplement.
@goingsomewhereeh Yes! Very nervous
I am applying RD. Good luck to you all!
Applying either RD or EDII; it all depends on my ED result for the other college I applied ED to.
I am actually applying ED II
Btw, I made another discussion thread for ED II 2021 applicants if anyone was interested
Wishing everyone best of luck!! Extremely nervous for the result!
So I submitted my EDI application about two weeks before it was due. I kept checking to make sure my counselor had submitted her part of the early decision agreement and she kept saying that she had although my portal was saying she hadn’t. She said she called the counseling office to make sure and they said that the only reason it was saying they hadn’t recieved it was because they had not yet considered my application. Just yesterday I emailed the Pomona Admissions office because it was still saying it had not been recieved. They said they truly didn’t receive it, and I should send in a paper copy of my, my parent’s, and my counselor’s signatures. Does this make me look bad to the admissions officers, and do I still have a chance as an EDI applicant?
No no worries, this happens all the time. Send in the hard copies and all will be well. Good Luck!
Where did you apply EDI? @ap012199
@Runnergirl1226 Brown, the deciding factor being Pomona’s close proximity to where I live (I would prefer to go out of state).
There’s a lot of overlap between Brown and Pomona. Brown is bigger and right in Providence. Pomona is suburban and a little more academic.
@ap012199 understandable! I’m from STL and while washu is a great school, I’d rather be out of
@ap012199 *go out of state as well.
I live in LA so I went online to schedule an on campus interview, but nothing was available. The only dates scheduled for interviews were in the first week of December even though the website says the last day to do an on campus interview is December 23rd. What should I do?
