Are the letters by Fedex or priority or DHL? i have heard all three versions of the story...

From last year: it was via Priority Mail.

i got my acceptance package from princeton by priority mail. columbia used fedex.

Decision: Waitlisted (the agony!)

Stats:[ul]

[] GPA: 4.0 uw, 5.something weighted
[] Rank: 2/168
[] Other stats: National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar w/ Distinction, 5's on all 5 of my AP tests, will be taking 5 more this year
[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: pretty good
[] Teacher Recs: didn't see them
[] Counselor Rec: didn't see it
[] Hook (if any): not that I know of...
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Pennsylvania
[] School Type: public
[] Ethnicity: white
[] Gender: female
[] major strength/weakness: good scores and grades, good EC's (3 sports, math team winner of many contests, etc.)
[li] why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: P-ton already accepted two people w/ 1600 SAT scores from my school (haha i guess the 1580 wasn't good enough!)[/li] [/ul]Other Factors: I got into Yale, Penn, Duke, and Schreyer....but I like Princeton too.....I guess I'll have to wait until June 30!

ACCEPTED WOOHOO!!!!
test:1390/ 29/ 730/660/630
rank:3/57
GPA:3.67uw/5.5w
Other schools: Yale (waitlisted), Columbia (rejected), UMiami, UPenn, Cornell, NYU, and Smith (accepted)

*Still kind of shocked that I did get in. Cruising on CC really gets you thinking you're not as good as all the other candidates, but I guess Princeton saw that I was. Wish I could go to there April hosting thing, but I'm already scheduled at another school :{.
Anyways, CONGRADULATIONS to all who were accepted!!! To those who didn't: y'all will most likely end up somewhere just as great so don't fret.

whoa how do u have a 5.5 w? are weighted A's more than 5.0 on ur scale?

Rejected, here.

just got rejected.................................................. :(!

rejected..........

getting rejected sucks (i was rejected by HYM)

but getting in kicks ass!

anonymou5: I honestly don't know...Until i came on CC I though that was how every school in the country was like......at my school and A in honors is a 5 instead of a 4 and an A in AP is a 6 in stead of a 4.......whatever that means.....

Fun fact in response to the person who was surprised that Priority Mail got to west coast overnight...last year the USPS contracted with FedEx for 100% of Priority Mail shipments.

Decision: REJECTED!!!

[] Teacher Recs: 2 glowing, 1 written in a cold, by style, but good

[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: NYC
[] School Type: Catholic... crappy
[] Ethnicity: East Indian
[] Gender: Female
[] major strength/weakness: I didn't have any leadership EC's, and my EC's in general were typical. I tried to make up for it with two art supplements (paintings) though, but obviously it didn't matter.
[li] why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: I don't know, can you ever tell?[/li][/ul]Other Factors:** I would just like to point out that after my deferral, I sent them a deferral-reversal letter, a second art supplement, tried to schedule a second interview, and sent a creative brochure about myself. BASTARDS!!

It's either Cornell (which I really really want) or NYU now. It all comes down to finaid. sigh I feel like I've been dumped by a particularly unfeeling man, who just plum threw our babies (my paintings - I just realized that every one of my best paintings I painted for Princeton, to complete those art supplements) in my face.

rejected.... Berkeley it is! :)

GO BEARS!

so first it was all positive news and now it's all negative. :( My sincere condolences guys. Ptonruby....maybe i'll see you at cornell

Decision: Rejected

hao, I know what you are feeling. I was thinking the same thing reading all this and then you said that. I guess the acceptences are pretty much out by now? bad news for us who have nothing yet.

My D. heard an acceptance this morning in CA. Good luck to you all tomorrow who have not yet heard. I only tell you this as you seem to be the kind of kids who prefer some data to no data.

sadly....tomorrow is sunday :(
Congrats on your daughter's acceptance though!
