First off, this is my first post :D!
Second, I was just reading the Stanford SCEA thread (like 5000 posts!) and yeah i know we've still got around 20 days left to decisions but i'm freaking out here and they seemed to have this sort of mini community thing going and it seemed tranquil and relaxing and you make a few friends you know? So who's with me for starting this thing?
How bout we do intros first?
My names Ahmed Khalifa, im from Egypt, and I applied to a crapload of top-tier schools, its sort of a 'Bet Big or Go Home' philosophy, because my parents won't let me travel abroad for a second rate university when we've got a few decent ones here in Egypt. So if i get rejections all across the board, its AUC (American University in Cairo) for me, or maybe McGill (decisions for THAT any day now).
So umm yeah help relieve the stress?
Thanks loads !

It’s hard to believe we still have 20 days until we hear - how will we survive!! Good luck everyone!

I have a question, well a couple actually, which I’m willing to bet could easily be answered on the Princeton website, but for the sake of conversation, if and when (fingers crossed) we all become Princeton students, will housing be completely random, or do we get to choose top choice dorm rooms? And does Princeton have an Honors College, and if so is there a separate application needed for that? How does all that work? Oh and when would we have to arrive on campus for classes, is there freshman orientation?

I know many ivies send likely letters.
Does Princeton take part in this?

^That’s a good question. I haven’t heard as much noise on the Princeton thread as on others (like Columbia’s) about likely letters. Since they scrapped their ED program, I would think that they might want to send out likelies. But on the other hand, a school as cool as Princeton doesn’t need to.

And my good friend Ahmed, on how many forums are you going to copy and paste your post? Jazz it up a little more, man.

Hahaha its just two, Princeton and Columbia because they’re sort of my dream schools (now). I am bloody going ape***** because they changed the grading system at my school so the Mid Year Report they sent had two B’s :S which should have rightfully been A’s according to the OLD grading system…stupid school.
How badly do you think this’ll affect me?

I have a bad feeling I’m getting rejected from Pton but not giving up hope

hey everyone!
Do you guys know how Princeton informs its students of their decisions? Is there an online method or does everything come through snail mail? BTW, do you know when they release the decisions?

I think there’s already a Princeton thread.
