<p>@hopefulperson i know how annoying it is to know someone applying to princeton even though (s)he would “never go there” and doesn’t even “like it at all.” ugh, it’s so unfair .___. if i had gotten in early, i would’ve applied to three more schools (max) whose applications i’ve put a lot of time/effort into</p>
<p>Sciencedaddy 2.0 just crushed all his finals. I’m coming for you, P’ton. Don’t let me get into this zone. </p>
<p>Wait by “crushed” do you mean you did well or badly.</p>
<p>@santaman1 By crushed I mean that I did well lol. </p>
<p>Rondo just got traded to Dallas, I need a new avatar now </p>
<p>somebody please tell me i’m not the only one who got deferred by umichigan… </p>
<p>You are not! I think they put all the ivy prospects into a pile. Look at that thread. It seems like anyone with an ACT over 34 or an SAT over 2250 OOS was deferred, especially if they were applying LSA and not from Michigan or immediately adjacent states. Michigan, definitely announcing to the world: “We are not a safety school.”</p>
<p>yeah, i’m OOS with high scores/gpa… i guess i should’ve seen this coming. too bad i now have no hope for my safety in addition to a deferral from my dream school </p>
<p>Hello you guys! I applied to Princeton early last year. I was deferred and then rejected. I know it seems like the end of the world, but trust me. I have gone through this process. It is NOT the end of the world. It is only the beginning. Look at your test scores, GPA, and extracurriculars again. If you are a qualified student you will have exceptional options by April. Trust me. Right now, I am at the University of Pennsylvania, and it is an excellent fit for me. I know that you might not believe me right now. You are probably still upset about your decision, but America is full of great universities. My advice is to stop focusing on Princeton. If you get in in March, that would be awesome, but you might not be so lucky. Apply to a wide range of schools. If you are qualified, you will have options. I guarantee you. Keep your head up. It gets better. </p>
<p>After the way my finals went, I was mostly sure that I was on fire. Then I saw my SAT2s from December. Lmao nope, have fun at college guys</p>
<p>@KeDIX1414 - Nice to see your response and hear how you are doing! Penn is a great school - glad you are doing well! </p>
<p>I just wish there weren’t so many deferred so i could see if I actually had a shot RD…and Princeton was my best hope for financial aid… according to the NPCs, Cornell, JHU, and Harvey Mudd (my next 3 choices) won’t give even 1/4 what Princeton said it would </p>
<p>@KeDIX1414 thanks for the words of encouragement
@ScienceDaddy don’t lose hope! D:
@hopefulperson i know, princeton is so generous! one of my parents is being laid off, so we need all the help we can get :(</p>
When should we send our continued interest letters? And to whom?
Just got offered an interview! I have it this Friday at a local diner.
Yeah, how do we send updates?
I also have the same question. How do we find out who to send the email to? I cant seem to find the represetnative for my area
I don’t think Princeton has them posted anywhere on their website…
i realize that i’m posting this quite late (since they say to send updates before the end of january), but i called the admissions office, and they explained that they have no regional representatives… apparently all updates are to be sent to their general email, uaoffice@princeton.edu
Ugh guys I just realized my deferral letter says “If you would like us to review additional information, please send it to us by the end of January.” I was waiting to send them a mid-year update email thing until my midterms were done with, which was just last week… Ugh. Did I miss my chance? Or does that sentence mean additional information to review like a published research paper or something? My update is nothing physical just a little blurb about how I’m still doing well yada yada and how I placed in a DECA competition… Help me friends. Should I send the email ASAP?
Yes - send it right away. A couple days is not going to make a huge difference to them.
