Agreed Bgrill27...its not like there are millions of lower class citizens that apply to college anyways...

Economic AA should apply to income<20k-25k

Because at that income you definitely don't have as many oppurtunities etc.

What about the rich kid who lives in a really crappy district with terrible bad teachers, school, etc?

What about the poor kid who lives in a really OKAY/Good district but is too poor own a good house etc...?

There are waaaaaaay too many strings..hence, income ties it up.

Hmm...that's interesting bgrill27. Many minorities aren't in a very high income bracket, and it will give other ethnicities an opportunity as well; however, this is only if we make the assumption that those in a much higher income bracket actually use all the resources available to them (Some rich kids that I've might that want to go to the Ivies are THE most laziest and ignorant kids EVER).

Pretty much every part of getting into Princeton is wonderful, except that none of my friends did. Good luck to everyone with wherever they end up!

And everkingly ... I wish I had your acceptance to Williams ... I was waitlisted there. Either one would be a wonderful experience, so you'll have to decide whether you want to go to a university or a small college. Good luck deciding!

[ b]General Comments:[I know they're boosting their arts programs a lot this year- I think that's the only reason I got in. I got rejected from Harvard and EA Stanford that I was a legacy for, so I was sure I wouldn't get into to Princeton!

gosh, 4 colleges I've done this for and I still can't get the formatting for this to work.

elphaba88: They accepted you in the hopes that you wouldn't go to Harvard or Stanford. ;)

If only one of my brilliant mathematician friends had gotten into MIT ... MIT doesn't like my school, damn them ...

But yeah, Princeton doesn't accept only vals. I'm fourth in the class, my brother was sixth. We both got accepted. You can't quantify why they do it. They just want a balanced class.

Yeah. I know my rank is #2, but my school only allows me to put "top 10%", which could possibly mean I'm #55. Princeton accepted me nonetheless. ;)

Does your brother attend Pton?

If so: that could have been the factor.

so if i didn't get it in the mail today (southern cali)... i have to wait till monday?

My brother does attend Princeton. I know that probably helps me, but he got in with a rank of sixth. Which is still lower than my class rank.

And not every non-val accepted kid is a legacy like me. I'm just one example, and obviously my acceptance wasn't a big deal anyway cause I have connections.

Waitlisted...
