Yeah, I was feeling really emotional about my first rejection so the next day I sent an email asking to withdraw it. I regret it now, and I know how stupid that must sound to everyone, but I can’t do anything about it now.
It’s not stupid. You made a decision based on how you felt, and that’s completely fine. You still have other schools to wait on, so stay positive. In any case, there’s always next year

Waiting for the results for these freaking applications has given me more anxiety than waiting to be told where or when I’m going to deploy. ooooomaaaah gaaaawd. Hopefully we should start hearing back soon. I applied to 8 places and still have not heard back from one yet. Bleh. hopefully I make it into at least one of them.

@CC12342021 Dude, with only 1%-2% acceptance rate with mostly veterans/low income/community college students, it’s almost impossible for anyone to get in. I hope we all get in but that’s quite unrealistic and if I were you and fall outside of either category, I’d probably not count on getting in.

@younganddumb18 Lol… I did say that I want all of us to get in but that’s just not realistic and I think it’ll help all of us to be mentally prepared for the obvious decision. They will get over 1000’s of applications with more than half 4.0, amazing EC’s, solid essays and killers LOR but they’ll pick 12-15 more in the best possible scenario 20 and they clearly stated what type of students they are looking for, so if anyone gets in outside of that realm, it will be equivalent to winning a lottery because that’s straight up luck based. Sorry if a burst anyone’s bubble but that’s reality and we all gotta accept it.
@futurelbanker/hfmanager thats true. I fall in one of those categories but I also have some assets that may help. But, in reality, we must wait in see. I believe I will get in, May 15 we will find out.

@CC12342021 Dude, I hope u get in. Even I fall in one of those categories and I got couple hooks too which is why I might have a shot but this is a pure luck-based game is all I am trying to say.
TBH Princeton’s supplement was the best essay I wrote in my 19+ years of existence so I am really wishing but looking at other applicants, it’s difficult to get in.
