A lot of people are finding out relatively early this year - tomorrow, the 11th, the 12th, etc. Part of me thinks that I want an email to randomly appear in my inbox, but a part of me wants to know exactly when. Completely torn, and also a nervous wreck.

Im sure that they will email us something. After all, we need to log in and check our decisions in a specific site at a specific time. Dont worry right now Im trying to relax and eat lots and lots of ice cream !

Guys, the Dartmouth people have found out. So many people rejected/deferred. I need to start facing the reality that that is probably what will happen to me.

I was just thinking the same thing, youril.

I just don’t want to wait, either way. I’m so stressed out.

Yeah, I’ve kind of accepted the fact that I’m probably not going to be accepted. What can I say…

I wonder who Princeton will choose among all the incredible students. You guys should write your name up on this pledge.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/princeton-university/1423741-official-princeton-scea-pledge-thread.html

I agree; this waiting is so hard! I’ve just come to terms with probably being deferred. That’s the most likely thing to happen. Then if I got rejected I’ll be able to move on fully and focus on other great opportunities, or if I should get accepted, then it will be an incredible, crazy shout-worthy blessing!

Let’s just say that if I am lucky enough to get an acceptance, there will be a party at my casa that night. But if not, that makes the tough decisions we’ll all have to make a little clearer as regards the other schools!

I think that at this point, all we can do is try to think about other things. Sure, it is very possible that we do not get the decision that we want. But we should all feel proud for what we have accomplished - most of us here have given blood and tears in high school , prepared for horrible tests, some mastered foreign languages, etc. bottom line: I believe that everyone is special in his or her own way. It is important to remember that the college does not make you, you make the college. If you don’t get your desired decision (including myself) , following these steps might help you feel better:

Breathe

You need to cry? Go ahead, let it out

Realize how it’s the school’s loss , not yours

Dust yourself up, get back on your feet, and move FORWARD!

I would like to share a line from one of my favorite poem originally written in Spanish:

Walker there is no path, the path is made when walking.

Good luck everyone ! At the end, it will all be perfectly right :)

This whole process is a learning experience, regardless of the outcome.

Honestly I think my interview made it worse. It went really well and it got my hopes up I keep checking on here to see if anyone has heard about a date for decisions yet.

Bregle, I completely agree. I was at a safe “I’ll be okay if I don’t get in” until I had my interview. I couldn’t help looking up after it went so well:(

emlogo123 and Bregle, I am the complete opposite. I don’t think my interview went too well so I’ve basically kind of accepted that I may not get in. Not sure which is better.

Have you guys worked in other apps for RD? I know Princeton’s SCEA is non binding, I’m wondering though

i’ve sent in apps in total for hypms already

Has anyone contacted the Admissions Office recently? Should we just assume that we probably won’t have our decision by the 15th?

I guess I should really focus on my RD apps…

adamgolden23 - It’s actually nonbinding, we can go wherever we want after we receive our admissions decisions. We just can’t apply early action or early decision to any other school.

schoolgirl1023 - The website still says by the 15th, so I’m going by that. They may tell people that there is a possibility they could be delayed just so they won’t have hundreds of angry callers on the 16th.

Hey, has anyone heard anything from Princeton yet (when/how we can access our decision)? My friends from Columbia and Dartmouth said they got emails around 10 days before today regarding the exact time and place to find their decisions.

Hi guys I’ve been lurking on CC for a while now, and I think now is as good a time as any to finally introduce myself.

I called the admissions office today, and they want to get scores out by the 15th, but they’re a little overwhelmed right now so even the 15th is ‘tentative’.
@rocheng: When decisions are made available online, they’ll be up at https://notify.princeton.edu/. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that site is separate from the actual application tracker.

@EmpyreiaRising what do you mean by scores?

Have you guys read anything good lately?

A student from antoher school that I know (wow, confusing) just got contacted for an interview tomorrow. So… I guess they’re still doing these…
