no one wants to answer my burning questions?

What did people get for the dual passages about invention? I thought it was that the first one said invention is born from desire, not necessity, and “improve it”. The second passage could’ve been necessity, but I thought that as they already had stuff that worked, albeit very inefficiently, the person mentioned in passage 2 invented new stuff out of a desire to improve conditions, so the second supported the first.

Thats the right interpretation, but not what most people got.

I’m taking my SAT in December. For those of you who took the June/October 2014 SAT, how did the Critical Reading and Writing compare to today’s PSAT?

The answers for PSAT today were definitely more controversial. Feels kinda like College Board is giving everyone who’s taking the last old PSAT the middle finger.

i put less passionate :(

I don’t know if you guys already talked about this, but on the writing question about the latin american author’s “work” I picked the one that only mentioned his name and nothing about his work. Was that right?

i put vexed, but then again, im not a very good test taker like some people here haha

What was the answer to the writing question with the girl who didn’t like her college professor, “which she often said to her friends”?

I still don’t get why is “absolutely” for “simply” wrong?

Let’s find the sources of the passages!!!

the first behavior passage is from “don’t shoot the dog”. How about the nd one?

@IBNick answer was e, “and she often said so to her friends”

how about the japanese reporters thing? Is that it shows excitement / interest or facile nature?

I thikn that it shows interest in the technical aspects (it said that in the answer choice). It is not stated directly about the facile nature, so the interest in technical aspects wins.

sheesh… I think I’m like -5 in CR and -4 in writing. Score range prediction? Could I reach 220?

I said facile because her questions were superficial in nature, only questioning the technical aspects such as what ink he uses while avoiding the true nature of the art of calligraphy.

I think the general consensus is that vexed is correct, check out the doc.

Was it “remain” or “remains” for the one about Rosseau’s writings

how could you get 8 for the absolute value question?

a = 0
b = -5
c= 3

kinda random but has anyone taken Tiger Tutor’s live online SAT classes? I need to prep for January

Does anyone know what #38 on the writing section’s answer was? was it “the filmmaker changes the story of the novel” or “the novel will sometimes have its story changed” or something?
