*OFFICIAL PSAT THREAD 2014 (US)*

The polling techniques was like a way to enhance the credibility of the guy quoted. Don’t remember the exact answer choice for that but it was something along those lines

My thought process regarding the marriage vs meeting for the first time debate:

At first I put marriage because I thought her in a white dress symbolized his thoughts to convey his want to marry her but prior to that sentence it said that they were already engaged so the marriage answer seemed a bit redundant to me. Ended up putting memory of first meeting.

And besides the first writing question, what were the other “No error” on writing? I only got 1 no error but it seems people got 2+

@Chrysanthemum14‌ for the political one right

@skieurope‌ Thanks for your assistance.

It’s not qualify, the choice read shows the qualifications ( as in why is this man a reputable source). If you look at it this way if my memory is correct the next sentence followed with the man’s response on the issue. So qualification is correct imo

no that was a different question. i know what youre talking about though.

It was like the first question on the second page of those questions… I think it had to do with penguins or something lol

I’m trying to remember 5-8 on the 1st vocab section. Can someone help me?

g(a) = 0 anyone?

f(a) = a +1
a = 1
f(1) = 2
g(1) = ?

So I think the answer was zero.

Mmhm 0 for sure

white dress on the first date?

@‌violinn

The answer was fanaticism for the penguin one.

@riship at least for me, the curve for CR was unusually hard last year. Missing one more question might have jeopardized my NMSF standing. Most people score better on PSAT than SAT though.

was one of the answers for vocab recluse???

a lot of us got recluse but a few beg to differ

@justforeva‌

The Prince one was recluse to most of us.

For the vocab question where the group excludes the new girl was it “ostracism; unwitting”?

I’m just hoping the math curve will be on the generous side because some of the questions screwed me over… Like the circle and square one- didn’t read that carefully sigh

the circle square one-- were you finding the ratio of the edges/circle or the square/circle-- which was the shaded part?
