My guidance counselor said that they’re not distributing scores until after winter break… Hate my school

Anyone get their scores yet???

Spoke to my guidance counselor, she said she’d pass them out on Tuesday (the 9th of December)

I’m an Florida Virtual School Student who went to the public school I’m zoned for to take mine. Do you think there will be a delay? There was a one and a half month delay freshman year, but sophomore year I got mine before my public school friends. I mean I know the ranges my scores will be in from the actual SAT and practice tests, and I know it’s not good enough for National Merit, but I do like the results from the PSAT for AP class recommendations and such, and as a dual enrolled student I’m planning out the classes I want next school year already, so it’d be best to have them sooner than later.

My counselor said we’re not getting our scores until January.

Yeesh.

Has anybody found the Understanding your scores 2014 version? I know they managed to post it online December 1st last year, but I’m still looking for it.

^Its not out yet

Understanding your score is out!

Wow, CR curve was pretty lenient in my opinion!

Does anyone have a link to the actual questions?

The writing curve imo is pretty lenient. Reading and math seem normal. Has anyone received their scores?

The form S Writing curve is insanely harsh. It seems that if I even got one wrong, I am done from semifinalist. However, I did think the writing was easy.

For section 4 Form W number 35 says the answer is 2.50, would 2.5 also be an acceptable answer? I thought we were supposed to get rid of the 0s at the end. 2.50 was a monetary value I think but I was always taught to remove the 0s at the end.

When do we find out about NM cutoffs?

2.5 should be correct. NM cutoffs will be announced next year late August/early September.

I would guess that if your score is in the 99% you will very likely make the cut.

I’m in Florida and our 99% is usually the nation’s 98%.

Someone I know here in Florida made the cut this past year and her score was 213. I just checked last year’s scores and 213 was the upper region of the 98% (nationally).

It kind of makes sense to me that she made the cut in Florida where the nation’s 98% is the state’s 99%. Remember that the cutoff depends on the state.

What was the 216 from? I think I might have gotten 214, but that might have been on the November SAT (ugh… I’m mixing up everything). What happens if you write something in the grid-in that’s wrong, but your bubbles are right?

Also, I dont know if this is accurate or not, but the 99th percentile for the whole nation went from a 215 last year to a 213 this year. So hopefully most state cut offs drop as well.

213 is comparatively a low score for the nation. Many states have 220 or above.

I looked and with the worst possible scenario, I might have gotten a 217. Best scenario is a 223.

I think I was too lenient. Not a likely score for a sophomore.
