Please recommend any great books that you have read to other teens. State the title (and author) if possible. If you want, add a brief description.

I'll start- just finished reading It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. About a child who studies hard to get into a very competitive high school, but cracks under the pressure and almost commits suicide.

Okay… I saw someone mention The kite runner on another thread. Basically, I am into every book written by Khaled Hosseini, so I recommend: The kite runner, A thousand splendid suns, And the mountains echoed.

Just to add, I am reading 7 Habits for Highly Effective people by Stephen Covey, and I would recommend it to anyone! It really has some good tips for time management and self fulfillment.

I felt that The Book Thief was just a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird.
I would recommend Dark Parties by Sara Grant. It’s an interesting novel with the “government controlling everything” theme.

The Book Thief was really great, but it’s been getting so much hype lately, the media buzz is blowing it up. But idk it’s a good book, plain and simple.

My favorite book will always be The Things They Carry by Tim Obrien. asdfkdslk.

Super Sad True Love Story and Peaceful Warrior are also great ones.

The Remains of the Day- Kazuo Ishiguro
The Glass Castle- Jeannette Walls
Bel Canto- Ann Patchett (fun fact- a passage from this was on the PSAT- remember Gen the translator? I read it before and I liked it a lot)

The Book Thief! Haha naturally, it’s really good though
Blink-Malcolm Gladwell
The Omnivore’s Dilemma-Michael Pollan
Animal Farm-George Orwell
The Fault in Our Stars
