Hi,
I’ve already gotten a one time link from Rice to “reset/set” my PIN for the Esther account. However, no matter which browser I try, every time I get this
ORA-20100: ::Cannot find record using primary or unique key.::
Unable to reset pin.
Do you guys have this problem too?
I really want to set up my account so that I can check my scholarships.
Why don’t we have an official results thread?
@WAITINGSOUL you should make one so we can post in it

Hi guys. Anyone else accepted through Questbridge?
Hey guys! On my ESTHER portal, it still says that “No award information is available for you at this time, please contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have questions. Below is a summary of important key factors that can affect awards…” Does that mean that I didn’t receive any financial aid or merit scholarships? I’m just wondering because I haven’t even received information about loans or payment plans or anything yet.

What should I write in my LOCI if I have no significant improvement in my honors and etc, Please help, I am desperate!!! I didn’t apply to any safety school, so this is my last chance.
@futureleader14 Your list was too risky to put it mildly. However, you will get another shot at applying to schools that have spots left. After May 1 there will be list of such schools published by National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) in its annual “College Openings Update”. Look out for that list.
The NACAC list is out. @futureleader14 There are some good colleges with space.
ugh someone please make me feel better about that Rice composition exam. I mean, I think it was one of the worst essays I’ve ever written. How hard do they make it to pass it??? :-<
@stressed2k17 Don’t worry about it too much - the composition exam is mostly looking to see if you can cite sources, structure an essay, and use proper grammar. They’re not looking for a brilliant literary composition, just a knowledge of writing-skills basics, so your odds of passing are pretty high. I know some people who aren’t great writers and still passed. That being said, I know some people who didn’t take it when they were freshmen and were therefore placed in FWIS 100, and from what they’ve said, that class was actually really helpful! I know it feels like your first test at Rice, but it’s really pretty win-win in that you either go straight to a higher-level FWIS or you get an extra class that helps you out with your writing skills, so don’t feel bad if you end up taking FWIS 100 - nobody thinks worse of you for it, and it’s more likely to help you than anything. That being said, if you took the test and followed directions, I think there’s a good chance that you passed.
How much will it hurt me if I forgot to cite my sources on the writing exam? I hit submit and then realized my mistake
