Wait I thought it would be Friday?
To those wondering what happened, late yesterday afternoon a poster claimed that he had contacted Rice admissions and been told that early admission decisions would be out in an hour. When that did not come to pass, he admitted that he had lied for the purported reason of teaching others not to believe everything that they read on the Internet.
that’s seriously inappropriate. So now no one knows the exact time right? or at least the exact day cause the phrase Mid-December seems unclear to me?

It will be today. The application said ED decision would be 12/15. Also if you go to Collegeboard it clearly states under Deadlines for Rice “College will notify Student of Early Decision by December 15th”
I understand that at least twice in the past few years Rice has updated the portals at 12 Noon EST, but I think 5 PM EST is the most likely time.

I just checked the portal and it’s not up yet, guess we’re gonna have to til 5 pm

I checked the Rice status portal and nothing has changed except on the required materials it says that I have not yet submitted my mid year grade report. That is new to me! I hope that’s a good sign!

Idk if I should trust this especially after what happened yesterday.
Let’s not speculate. Only a few hours to go and we should know for sure.
I would imagine they know which schools release grades early, and which don’t. Some of us are still taking finals through tomorrow, so grades won’t even be out till next week
There’s a big red X saying Awaiting for my mid-year grades. Does that mean my application is incomplete? It wasn’t there yesterday :-SS
My finals don’t even start until Monday! My mid year grades won’t be out until after christmas!
