i have degraff. is anyone familiar with how the room numbers work? for instance, if my room is 2256 (which it's not), does that mean second building, second floor? (i assume wildwood has similar numbering systems)

oh, and my friends, who are twins, are neighbors in smith.. i found that to be a coincidence.

Hey imgonnabeanole, what's your room number for Bryan Hall?

lol pistolen, I saw your facebook. I'll add you in a few days, lol.

too lazy

lol, I beat you to it.

Yes fsunole, that's exactly right... For halls with more than one building (Wildwood, DeGraff, Salley, and maybe others that I've forgotten) the first digit is the building and the second is the hall. For halls with only one building (most of them), the first digit is your floor.

D is on 2nd floor Landis.

Does anyone know the details of ordering carpet for your room?

JohnnyTremain

Sorry that you did not get your dorm of choice.

At orientation is was stated that 80% of incoming freshmen will be living on campus which made the good priority numbers even more important for getting a popular residence hall for 2008-09. Maybe you will have an opportunity to change to another dorm after fall term. :)

...i didn't realize you could order carpet for a dorm. i've never heard of that.

The info will come with or soon after you get your fall housing notification in the mail. You order based on your Hall. It will be rolled up in the room when you arrive for fall.

sunnyflorida

Thanks for the carpet info!

@johnnytremain

i got smith also.....i didnt get my choices in landis and others :(

wuts wrong with smith btw?
4th floor

johnnytremain, you are not alone. I'm in honors too and they put me in Deviney. :(

i fell you, johnnytremain. this whole college thing is really taking some shots at us..(uf, dorms, etc.)

what's the difference between a double and a double/bath in Landis?

actually forget that....what does a triple w/ bath look like in Gilchrist?

are triples larger than doubles?

yes, triples are supposed to be larger than doubles, and fully equipped for three people (two fridges instead of one, etc)

how long should i wait before i call and come in contact with my roommate?

i got my info through the mail 2 days ago.

my mom brought me my roommate letter while i was at work, the day it came.

by the time i had gotten home from work, both my roommates had already added me on facebook.

sooo i would say the sooner the better? :]
