I didn't get mine yet :(

saila- i lived on third floor bissell last year. I was bummed that I got a single at first, too. But by day 10- I couldn't have been happier about it. BELIEVE ME- singles are great. You get to hang out with people 24/7 in college, the least you should get is a 10x12 room that you can change clothes in and get away from people if you want. Also, all the choates have recently been renovated (i lived in bissell this past year- they're renovating it now- and it was disgusting...but it'll be very nice for you!).

Enjoy....really!

If you were assigned a single and did not request one, we tried our best to place you on very social floors. So don't worry, you won't be isolated.

Choates
Cohen
302D

I slept on it, and I'm starting to warm up to the idea of a single already. I posted this question on another thread, but since you lived in Bissell, apppro, can you tell me what the common area is like? Am I right in assuming Cohen and Bissell connnect to a common area building? I could only find floor plans of the bedroom areas. Thanks.

The River
McLane 105

Ughh, I really wanted the Choates. But it's a three-room double, so that's okay. Although I somehow got placed in substance-free housing when I didn't request it - that should be interesting for my roommate/hallmates! Well, I'll make it work for one year, I suppose.

yea gracilisae.. totally...hope i dont get substance free dorm.. cause hell i dont want that... i feel bad for those who get to see me drunk!!

:gives virtual high five to FountainSiren: Cohen all the way!

Brown All The Way!

Choates
Cohen

I know, prepschool05 - it's like, I feel sorry for myself, but I feel worse for those who actually wanted substance-free housing and will have to live with me.

Gracilisae, I wouldn't be too worried. A lot of people request sub free not because they don't drink/are opposed to drinking, but they just choose not to do it in their room or on their floor. More than half of the first year class is in subfree housing, and I promise you, WAY more than half of the first year class will be drinking by the end of freshman fall. You will make plenty of friends you can go out drinking with, but you will be able to return to a more quiet environment to crash.

Yea, I don't want to come home to another party. (see the "Not THAT dorm" thread on the Parents forum) And, Choates are next to frat row.

EW, McCulloch Room 301 =p
