@biologyrules1 - You were right about the evolution question…insects did evolve before reptiles

Looking at this thread, it looks like I’m landing somewhere around -3, with all of my mistakes in the section asking about the functions of different parts of the plant xD
I’m also REALLY glad I decided not to take E.

can someone be generous enough and post the list of all answers so far for m, please?

and i found the test really hard :/

@biologyrules1 if you only got two wrong you can definitely still get an 800, and if not a 790 for sure. I also only got two wrong (as far as I can tell)

how much is -5? I’m at that

wait what was the evolution question asking again? and what was the answer?

I just remembered one question asked what would not happen due to a single base substitution. The answer choices are silent mutation, nonsense, missense, change of splice site? (not sure), and something else (some word that looks like disjunction? don’t remember)

what did you guys choose for that?

Actually the question asked what the least likely thing that would occur due to a single base mutation was, and the answer was nondisjunction

I made a pretty dumb error by bubbling in my answers on the back of the test booklet where I would, if I was taking a third test in the same day. I left the other two middle test grids blank. Does anyone think this will be a problem for the collegeboard when scanning/grading my test?

@Crazysat1: not sure because it is graded by machines. I think you should contact Collegeboard

OKAY SO THE ANSWERS WERE skin, intestine, liver, apical meristem, xylem for the first couple right?

Apical meristem is not the correct answer. It’s cambium

actually the apical meristem was the correct answer. The cambium is the mass of undifferentiated tissue in the center of the plant that becomes xylem and phloem. The apical meristem is the ends of the branches, twigs, etc, that actually grows. Maybe you should actually know bio before you try correcting other people @waddupwaddup

Wait I thought it was kidney not liver…

yaa, it was the kidney

what was the answer to that one with bag of glucose in the beaker?

or maybe it was starch

Wait, so did insects evolve before fish?

fish are chordates while insects are arthropoda. arthropoda came before chordates
however im not quite sure you might think fish because marine life supposedly came before terrestrial life

yea i put insects but a few comments on this thread made me doubtful

Exactly… Marine life obviously came first but fish are more complex with the vertebrae and everything so I dunno
