dont worry, i didnt get it 4 e's in a row either. maybe 2, at the most.

i got a bunch in a row. did you have the test with the algae and the detective?

yeah i did. i got like 3 E's alternating, but not in a row.

hey you guys
what was the answer to the math question where there was an equilateral triangle within an equilateral triangle
and the perimeter of the larger triangle was 18 and you had to find the perimeter of the smaller triangle?

well, I thought the math portion wasn't that hard, i only skip 2-3 questions. however the section about writers and literal meaning or whatever really messed me up.

does anyone remember the problem with f(n+3) = 3f(n)?

yea the answer is 54 because you have given that 4 gets you 6 so

f(4+3)=3f(4)
f(7)= 3*6
f(7)= 18

then

f(7+3)=3f(7)
f(10)= 3*18
f(10)=54

we can see our actual scores in like 2 weeks...right?...do they also release questions and their respective answers then too...like the act does?

wow seems like most people here had the same test.
Am I the only one who had passages about "sea creatures", "Asian-Sighting" "Homer(translation)"?

anyone know any other websites that discuss SAT?

hey dream, i had the SAT with those passages. The homer translation confused me.....

I had that one too, Dream.

On my test . . .

Math-mostly easy ones in disguise with one killer that I couldn't do and omitted

Writing-Not any harder than my practice tests, I didn't have problems

CR-Same as writing, vocab was iffy but passages were slightly easier

I'm prayin' for a good score.

@dream thats the one i had...

I'm not discussing the topic itself, but I was wondering how much do you guys think needs to be written for the essay in order to get 2 6's?

I mean, I only used 3/4's a page, and referenced 2 examples. I ran out of time before I could write a solid conclusion. I think I wrote well, just not entirely enough. In addition, on one of the writing multiple choice sections I ran out of time with 5 questions not answered, and because I was rushing probably got a few others wrong.

Does this pretty much seal my fate in getting a far lower score for writing, or if my essay was short but really good could that help me?

editted to add: Dream, I had that exact same test too. lol.

@confused...according to the test prep books ive read...few 6 essays are given to any essay under 300 words...which is (assuming an average of 10 words perline) roughly 30 lines...since the sat gives you exactly 46 lines to write on...that comes aout to roughly at least 1 and a third pages worth of text...

im getting this from the sat 2400 test prep book from kaplan...

I think you can definately do it in a page and a half. I went about a page and 3 quarters although my conclusion was only 2 sentances.

I'm fairly sure I missed one math question because I just didn't understand it (it was the f (n+3) one).
