Official Sat I Discussion January 2005

yeahh ..now tht u guyz mention it...anachronism..was the answer to one of the sc... plz think up the other ones...

I put how they are they must get punishment for acting against the hero, or something of that sort.

I know exactly how you feel

yea i put that they were unlucky. I also put anachronism I'm happy I guessed.

I also was inching toward dovish and some other ones but left them blank. Just my luck. I actually feel I did pretty well in the verbal section..these boards make me feel more confident.

misscompetent, or someone, could you elaborate on the "feeling unlucky" answer? That might me the one I am referring to.

the people in the protagonist's way is unlucky to be defeated by the protagonist. I can't remember word for word but I remember that none of the other choices fit.

Was it (e)?

Is it similar to what I said: "...they must get punishment for acting against the hero, or something of that sort"?

nspeds

Yeah that sounds right

guys.. we seriously need to boycott the ETS....

i believe SAT is probably the dumbest REASONING TEST ever graced the earth.. IQ tests are even better.. ETS makes money off us...... money is all they farking care about... son of a gun...

IQ tests are more expensive than the SAT

but we dont have to take them 3 times.... and we dont have to memorize 1000 vocab, or buy study guides.. iq test is a test of reasoning and intelligence.

You do not have to do that for the SAT either. I know individuals who have scored above a 1500 without such resources.

was the test section with 930 prime number question experimental

if colleges changed their admission policies and wanted their applicants to take an IQ test instead of the SAT, then ppl would go "How can we prepare for it??" Then companies would try to make sample IQ practice books and ppl would feel like they need to buy them. What ever test it is, there's always going to be prep material for it. You don't need to study for the SAT either. You could be perfectly smart and get a good score. But b/c we have all these prep books and stuff for the SAT, everyone feels like they should buy them and study from them b/c it's there for them. alright....whatever...

The verbal section highly correlates with IQ anyway. but not the math,

wait a second...im reading in this thread that the math mc section with the bees question was experimental...but that was in the first section of my test...is it possible for the first math to be experimental? i really hope so.

the first section can be experimental

im pretty sure the first section cant be experimental

as far as i know, i've never seen a first section as experimental. Look at the 10 reals. All of the tests have had their experimentals in sections 4 and 5 (and maybe 3 but i forget).
