Official SAT I International Version

The question was something like 3^6x=...? and then there was another condition

Katie and Paul thing--yup! I got 4 times :)

I don't remember the super successors problem, can you elaborate maybe??

no that question specifically asked for positive integers
i read it twice........

it said something like..the supersuccessor of a number x is...x+x^2...and then it asked for how many positive integers had suppersuccessors less than 70. so 8 was definitely out of the picture cuz..8+64 is...72. but..i duno if its integers 0-7..or 1-7. cuz the answers had both Seven integers and Eight integers...so i didnt know which to pick..:(

^0 is neither positive nor negative, so it's not included.

Oh yeah. The answer's really 3/8. Either way, I got it wrong :(

What's the question for the abate...inure... item?

thats what 0 is not a positive integer

it was like

the sound of bells didnt stop to ......... but workers became ........ to it

ahaha...good...cuz i put 7. assuming 0 isnt part of the list. so ....haha..lucky for me
the question for the abate/inure..went something like..despite the fact that the noise of the machinese didnt abate..the workers soon became inure to it...
i duno the exact words..but its something to that effect...

ahh! I remember that supersuccessors or whatever question. Thanks smurf!
I agree with paradox master...I def remember it was POSITIVE integer

so the answer was abate/innure?

anyone anyone anyone want to talk about the 15minute reading comp about the monsters?? I thought it was sooo hard! :( Or my brain was starting to die at that point...

And--what do you guys think is the experimental section??

the experimental section is most likely section 5 math. cuz its usually in the middle of the test..

but isn't it like if there are 2 repeats (VV or MM), then one of them is the experimental??

I thought the section2 was a LOT harder than section5! darn...

oh really?..i didnt know that. the truth is, this is my first try at the SATI...and so..i based my judgement on what the seniors told me..which is that its usually in the middle...so. yeh...section 2..was..wel. it was ok for me..cuz at least my brain was still geared up. unlike..when i got to the 15min verbal section..i was so tired...

yeah I was like done reading and I must have had like 4 minutes to answer the questions...I am not even sure what happened there

Do you (or anyone) remember any questions??

smurf--good luck for it being the first time!! it seems you did well though! :)

standardized are always hard to tell..for me. its just hard to predict...especially those tricky math questions..ah. wel. we'll see in only two weeks.

a. I remember one question from the monster thing about the biologist from Mars. It was tough, I answered "incomplete perspective".

Anyone else who remember some questions?

b. Also about the Latin writer, did you have an answer "Oral and written"?

c. Was it really abate...inure? I don't remember having such answer. What are the other choices?

d. For those who have 4 Maths, the experimental section was definitely section 5.

yeh..i picked something to the effect of incomplete perspective as well...
yeh..i had "oral and written" too!
oh really?..ahaha..thats nice..cuz i was so sick of math when i got to section 5...but oh well..the mistake i had in math was from that 15min section..so..bleh. doesnt help. and possibly that..3^6x problem..i still dont get that. i cant remember which section that was from..is it from section 5??...i hope so....
yeh..it had to be abate/inure...i dun remember any other choices..cuz i was looking for words like abate and inure..so i never bothered to check the other choices carefully..:)

3^6x is on the grid-in, so it'll be scored(shame).

About the oral and written, I have to smack myself again. I changed it on the last minute to "entertainment and instructive". I thought oral and written was too obvious and not deep but when I come to think of it, I was simply being stupid. >:(

dammn.. two errors for verbal already (i wild guessed for the aplomb one and got it wrong ha! and i choose variegated:color (was also guessing between strident:sound and variegated:color))

or the I,II, III thing though, do you mind elaborating on what you did??
I forgot the question exactly... but its something like y is less than k and x is more than k (not sure what it was exactly...)
since all the choices only involved x and y, you either minus or add to remove the k... so in this case.. y<k ,="" x="">k ... the first option is something like x>y, but this is not definitely true because x can be smaller than y or bigger than y depending on k... the second option and third option are identical (you just rearrange and you'll get the same identity...) they are obtained by eliminating the k.. either by minusing or adding (i forgot the exact question)</k>

whats the answer for the 3^6x grid in??
the I II III thing was..II and III...but i have no idea how i did it. i think i just guessed. :)

whats the exact question for the 3^6x grid in?
i remembered it is something like 3^6x = 27^4kx
if it is so, then its (3^3)^2x ==> 27^2x = 27^ 4kx
and comparing you'll get k = 0.5 or something like that...
or was it 3^6x = 81a^2? i remembered something had 81a^2... for this one you have to take square roots.

btw, was aplomb choice B? cos for that question, i guessed B hahaha (after eliminating furious)
