Official SAT March 10 Math Discussion

Not what I got.

I got 8pi-4pi=4pi

how could it be 8 pi....

oh there was this one question talking about some kinda circle within a rectangle and it asked for the ratio of the circle to the rectangle

was the answer .. ( i cant remember exactly)

16 pi / 3500 or something or 16 pi / 3500 - 16 pi

wait, did you get 8pi by subtracting the smaller circle?

i remember something with 8pi i need the context to be sure but its either

its 8pi - 2pi - 2pi. keep in mind that they're semi-circles so your area answer has to be divided by 2

It was the large circle with a small circle on the inside, in which the radius for the large (entire with small) circle was given. So is 8pi from the entire thing or the outer part surrounding the small circle?

oh! we're talking about different circle questions.

one was about 3 semi-circles
one was about a circle within a circle.

I'm talking circle within a circle. HAHaha.

another question because im retarded.

that one where it was like 540 pages.. 50 lines per page. how many pages if its 54 lines per page. i just didnt know how to do it.

Yes I am talking about the one with 3 semi circles. I am familiar with both but forgot what I put for the circle within a circle. I got 4 pi for the 3 semi.

oh im dumb. are u supposed to set up a ratio for that.. because im retarded.

the large semicircle with 2 smaller semicircles. asking for shaded region
semicircles: (pi r^2)/2
area of large semicircle: (pi 4^2)/2= 8pi
however it asked for the SHADED region
since it has to be less than 8 pi, 4pi is the answer :)

im stupid. someone shoot me laa lalal al lol. imgoing crazy here.

THANK YOU. That's what I thought.

keane fan:

i think the pages question was experimental? i didn't get that question.

keeep it comin

Cube question/3 semi circle question:

Experimental or no?

I don't remember that question anymore... gah. elaborate please?

Oh wait. you mean those 2 are separate. NVM.

menuetto:
i don't think that one is experimental =( but i really wish it was

im a freaking asian retaking the SAT FOR MATH
im a weirdo
