Do you remember the other choices?
Anne Hutchinson was tried for antinomianism though. She believed that faith alone earns you salvation. I think I put the answer choice that said something along those lines.
The choice about inner salvation? I think that’s what I put but I don’t remember. Do you know if there was a choice about meetings in her home or defying the clergy?
the answer to the hutcinson was that she didnt believe that only scriptures could interpret something
@MrAustere Yes that is the choice I put as well. And I’m not entirely sure but I don’t think so. But if there was, I feel like this was the better answer since it shows how she directly challenged a puritan belief. History questions usually have two of three choices that could possibly make sense and are true but theres always a clearer answer.
does anyone know the answer to the question like what expanded the most in like around 1830s? i said railroad because the others didnt make sense but i dont think it was…
Yes, there was. I don’t remember the answer. It was already discussed on this forum, look back a few pages.
Does anyone remember the choices for the Menlo Park question?
The two that made the most sense were the clergy one and inner salvation. What exactly is inner salvation though? I don’t know if it’s the same as antinomianism. Plus, I thought Hutchinson held religious meeting at her house, and believed she had the right to interpret scripture
She was banished for holding meetings in her house. What exactly about the clergy? It would either be that or inner salvation.
I feel like both are possible answers. I hate how this test did that, certain questions had two answers that were so close…
LOL this webstie saids both scriptures nad the salvation http://www.pbs.org/godinamerica/people/anne-hutchinson.html
Well, Collegeboard better throw out that question. I only said the scriptures one because I wasn’t sure what “inner salvation” was. But reading that, I feel like both are equally right .
i think the scripture one was correct becaUSE on the test it said, like inner salvation was conversion which doesnt make sense, hutincshons was like faith alone not good good deeds is recquired for salvation
what does it mean throw it out?
also wondering how did u get ur name? is it from a video game or literall the fruit
Can Collegeboard actually take a question out of the score?
@MrAustere Yeah, if practically everyone gets it wrong or it’s seemingly found to be incorrect or not making sense. They don’t take questions out just because kids on CC complain
Let’s hoe, that question was hard.
@MrAustere Not if you knew what Anne Hutchinson was banished for. It was pretty straightforward
And why was she banned?
