For anyone looking for a few practice tests this website is pretty good: http://www.learningpod.com/workbook/sat-subject-test-world-history/21e090ec-ddd5-46ca-8bdc-075981e142da

These are pretty good practice questions, but I’m doing really bad on them. I wonder how these compare to the collegeboard test?

On both Barron’s tests I got 750’s, and on the first PR test I got a 780. I seem to be in pretty good shape, but does anyone know if the actual test is harder/easier than the practice tests?

Anybody know where I could get a hold of some practice exams? Or atleast the Curve table? I dont have access to any prepbooks that are SATii related, I’m just studying from my Barrons AP prep book

Thanks

Does anyone know if the Kaplan book is good and/or harder than the actual test? In my experience PR has usually been easier and Barron’s harder, but Idk about Kaplan

I found Kaplan a bit more in depth than the actual exam last year.

Alright so I’ve never taken a world history course but managed to get a 700 on all the practice tests I’ve taken just based off of common knowledge. My exams in a week. Any ways to improve my score? I’m having a lot of trouble with figuring out what to focus on. I got a 680 last year and I really want to pull my score to around 750.

@AnnaLuxe what worked for me for the AP exam was to identify what regions you need to work on. For example, I barely remember anything of LAtin America during its independece area (like with Simon Bolivar) so I’d study that. Hopefully that helped

btw, A 700 w/o taking a course is actually pretty amazing in my opinion

guys discuss that right after the test!!! i will be so curious

So is everyone just essentially studying Barron’s SAT II book?

@Zeppelin7 thanks for the advice! The questions just seem so random though… ‘Under which Chinese dynasty did foot binding diffuse to the lower classes’ and such.

I’m actually using the 5 Steps AP book right now instead of Barron’s…

@AnnaLuxe how’s 5 steps working? I also got crash course and plan on reading it the day before the exam

It’s alright but it seems a lot more in depth than other sat WH books. Maybe because it’s ap? I wouldn’t recommend it for last minute review just because it isn’t laid out very well.

Can anyone find old subject tests from college board?

I pulled a 690 on the first Barron’s test without studying since the AP World exam and I’m a little distressed. Do I still have chance at getting at least a 750+ if I review some? I hear Barron’s tests are harder?

@britt43 I have also heard that Barrons is usually more difficult than the actual test

@calmartin I know some of the actual tests are in the official subject test study guide released in collegeboard, so you might be able to find some online? Tell us if you do in fact find them please

Hi I took a Kaplan practice test and got a 700 while I got a 650 for Princeton Review. Which should I trust? I am aiming for mid 700’s should I not take the test if my practice scores aren’t there?

@151Andrew151 I found that the actual exam was easier than those in the prep books so I would give them a shot. Remember they only administer them twice a year

Do I still have a chance at mid-700s if I’m struggling to pull above a 700 on practice tests? /: I took AP World, but the content for the SAT is completely different…I took an actual practice test and only got a 660, and I’m really terrified and frustrated.

@elaminnowpea I would do the 20 questions on CBs website to see how you fair on the exam. I you do well on them, that just means the practice tests you took were harder (especially if you took Barrons).

Also, do you guys have a link to the scoring chart thing? I dont have a SAT prep book for History so I’m just using my WHAP one, thanks
