This thread is for the people taking the SAT World History Subject Test this June. People can use this thread to discuss the books that they are using to prepare for the test, post their score after taking the test, ask questions, answer questions, ect.

Taking it this June. I’m in ap world history and I do fairly well on the multiple choice questions. I took a practice SAT 2 in world history today and got a 560. Do you think it’s possible to raise it up to a 770? How could I do it? Thanks

So I took world history last year and got a 5. I’m pretty confident I could prepare in time. Should I take a subject test for an ap class I already took?

Btw this will save me time from studying for sat french and spend more time on sat bio

I think with review you will be able to take world history and get a really good score on it

First Post, but I have been here for a long time.
I feel this SAT is going to give me a bit of trouble. what books are you using? I still didn’t start but I’m going to go with Barron’s as it is the only one available where I am.

I have only used Barron’s too, but I don’t know if I should use Kaplan’s also.

What’s the difference between AP and this? I never bothered learning those minor details in AP b/c u dont need to know them, but I heard that you do for this test to some level

I’m not sure. I did not take the AP class because my school doesn’t offer it.

Where can I find more practice tests? I have 2 in my PR but I would like more…free if possible

You can probably find old tests made from collegeboard just by looking it up. So far I’ve used Barron’s and Princeton Review.

Are you guys talking about the PR book that has both the US History and World in it or are you talking about the AP PR book? I took World last year and I got a 5 and took the SAT II and got a 620. (Don’t know what happened, I was pretty confident) Any additional recommendations for which book to get?

literally taking this without studying and having the class for 2 yrs. wish me luck

I’m using the Barron’s SAT II book. I heard it’s really dense but covers pretty much everything the Collegeboard can test!

The practice tests in Barron’s are much harder than the actual test too, I heard.

Anyone have any practice tests for this exam? I dont have any prep books for this

I got a 550 on a practice test, read through Princeton review’s US & world history book once while making notes and raised my score to 670. Now I’m working through Barron’s AP world history since my library has no others for SAT. In my opnion PR’s book is pretty good.

To 151Andrew151 I know the official guide to all sat subject tests has a WH test in it. Perhaps your library might have it.

Hi everyone! I just need some advice from on how I should study; I went through the Barron’s SAT Subject Test for world history, but whenever I go to take practice tests, my scores decrease rather than increase. I started going through the Kaplan book for world history, but any advice on how to study?

I’m basically reading the Barron’s book and looking at practice questions and hoping for the best.
