OFFICIAL saturday PSAT discussion

Are you absolutely positively sure it was the X axis and not the Y axis for the (-5,0)/(0, -5) question? Because I also thought it was Y axis....

I'm pretty sure it was the Y-axis

it was x for sure

100% guarantee x axis.

yeah, it was the x-axis. I originally had (0,-5) too, but I noticed it when I was checking.

how many "no errors" did you get for the writing?

how do you get 38 numbers with the digit 7?

7, 17, 27, 37, 47, 57, 67, 70-79, 87, 97, 107, 117, 127, 137, 147, 157, 167, 170-179, 187, 197. 38 altogether.

In the first hundred numbers, 10 numbers have ones digits of 7 (7,17,27, etc.). The ten 70's (70,71, 72, etc.) also contain 7's. Since you counted 77 twice, there are 19 w/ the digit 7 in the first hundred numbers. Multiply that by 2 and get 38.

What can I expect to get?
CR - 2 Omits, Maybe at most 2 wrong
Math - 1 or 2 omits, 2 wrong on grid-ins, maybe 2-3 other wrongs
Writing - No Omits. 3-4 wrong

XGreen, probably between 220 and 225. I'll say 223.

Wow, that's a lot better than I thought! I might be overestimating how I did on Writing, but hopefully not. I can't understand why we have to wait until December...

Anyone want to guess at what I'll get??

CR: I'm thinking 5 or 6 wrong, no omits
Math: All right, no omits
Writing: maybe 2-3 wrong at the most

CT, I'll say 230.

CR was pretty straightforward I think, but what was the last question on the house painting one- It was like the last sentence mainly is used to.. I put show passage of time but I'm not sure. There was another one on the telepathy one..one of the choices was like the mother intentially sent her mixed messages or something.anyone get thoses two?
Answers I'm positive on are:
1. manifesto
2.secular/..
3.caustic
4.edifying/..
5. execrate (? ) not POSTIVE about this one though

how many no errors on writing and one which questions?

I said it was Albert himself, I'm not sure exactly what, but it didn't have performance in it, because they applauded him for being so talented?

I said Albert himself, also. I think that's correct, but it is one of the few I'm not sure about.

Any predictions on the CR curve?? (I did horribly on it!)

What about those 2 silly overlapping triangles that made a 6-pointed star?(grid in) I got 1 at first but then I changed it to 9.

I don't know if it'll help very much, but I copied all the answers to all 5 sections of the test onto my graphing calculator, so if you want I can post mine...On all the practices I get around 210-225...though this time I might have gotten 0wned by writing...I got a lot of e's and d's on the last column.

I'm so ****ed off I got that digits with 7 wrong...I counted 2 of them twice, so I got 40.
