<p>Some undergrads do get waitlisted for spring. I believe there was one last year on CC. Actually there might’ve been two… I’m not sure. I’m so nervous. 
I was looking at the USC '12 thread and people were hearing by March 3rd! But we have three more weeks. :(</p>

<p>I agreed with Madbean, and what he/she wrote is applicable to all university programs. At this point there are not really any questions left to ask-we just have to wait and see. For some, ventilating and support works to get through the process :)</p>

<p>@littlered- If you received a call from the chairman, I would say that is absolutely a good thing. They wouldn’t call unless they were seriously considering you for a spot.</p>

<p>@little-I also was called for a phone interview. Not with the chairman, but with a cinematographer on the admissions committee. He said he liked my writing and that my application “floated to the top” of the pile. I’m so excited! I can’t believe I might actually have a shot at this!</p>
<p>@losthestory yeah the man i talked to said they came across my app and were extremely interested and intrigued by my portfolio, etc. I really hope this means good news is coming our way soon!! It’s got me so anxious to find out!</p>

<p>I’d like to say that the people who get into the SCA are like, the coolest kids in USC, no joke. Even though I got into Viterbi as a Computer Science (Games) major (and shall be attending this fall! So psyched!) sometimes I wish I was good enough to submit a portfolio to get into SCA, lol. As a Comp Sci (Games) major though, I’ll have to team up with a few of you Interactive Media/Animation peeps to create a video game for the required senior project. That sounds cool as hell.</p>
<p>Anonymity- my son was accepted into production last year in mid-March (after being accepted undeclared a week or two before that) but did not receive a phone call. Good luck!</p>

<p>While I was out there, by the way (the screenwriters might find this interesting), I met up with a friend of mine who’s a sophomore in the writing major and she told me that everyyone in the screenwriting program has one faculty member in particular who REALLY fought for them–a champion, if you will. Some faculty members are less secretive about looking out for their kids than others are, but the whole thing is you’re never supposed to find out who your champion is… I think they might let you know at graduation, but the point is nobody ever tells you who your champion is; they’re just there and they look out for you–they, in particular, look out for you particularly. The reason this came to mind now is because the friend who told me about it thinks she knows who her champion is–because when she got in one of the writing faculty called her to tell her that she had been accepted. So, y’know, if you’re a writer who gets a call,… yeah.</p>
