<p>Shicko was right – 50 accepted for Production and 26 for Writing. I’m pretty sure that if any of them deny the offer, they bump spring admits up to fall and enroll them OR leave some spaces open for transfers. Unfortunately SCA doesn’t release much info so most of what we say is speculation. :(</p>
<p>Hey guys… I just got waitlisted by Carnegie Mellon. 
I guess it’s better than a rejection though, right?</p>
<p>Of course it is! Carnegie Mellon is crazy competitive and you’ve got NYU to fall back on.</p>
<p>I don’t think I can afford NYU, haha. My mom’s salary is about half of their tuition and their financial aid sucks. Blah. I’m on the priority waitlist for CMU, though, so I’m not too disappointed. Honestly, I’m just glad that they gave me a chance despite my 3.3 GPA. </p>
<p>Dear USC, please please accept me. I love you even more than CMU.</p>

<p>If anyone from SCA reads these boards and can influence a decision…listen to all of us. We love Dream and know you would too. She is a calming voice, an analytical voice, a voice of reason, and you KNOW that is necessary in film work. You need her. Figure out who she is, that can’t be hard. Look for your applicants from Chicago, and one with a 3.3 gpa. She will be your best asset. Trust me, we all see it and all of us would consider it an honor to work with her.</p>

<p>My D’s acceptance letter was dated 3/24. Postmark was 25 sent priority mail. Her status changed to being reviewed from forwarded yesterday (26) and her letter came today. Good luck to all of you and Dream I think you are wonderful and hope you get in too!</p>
<p>I was granted acceptance to SCA Major Critical Studies (2nd Choice) for the Spring Semester '11. The letter was postmarked for March 26th and I received the letter today March 27th. My status changed from reviewed to forwarded I want to say…Monday? and then I noticed it changed back this morning right before I checked the mail.</p>

<p>dreamsupside you gave me that website and for the first time I was able to check the application status. It says that the applications was forwarded to the committee for review. Can somebody tell me what this means. I realize I’m a little late in the game but you guys seem to know! Thank you.</p>
<p>okay. so good morning everyone… today i checked my status and it is back to</p>
<p>Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.</p>
<p>NOW, I have not received a DHL (although it is sunday)— but I am thinking that more than likely they have made their (rejection?) decision… I guess ill have to wait and see but for some reason I’ve got that feeling.</p>

<p>Mitchster I was not able to get into this status stuff until yesterday. My D’s status says “forwarded for review”. I don’t know if this is a new status, changed or what because we could never access it before. Can you share whatever insight you have about what this particular ‘status’ means? Thank you.</p>
<p>Funny. I just checked the USC site again and (now I’m getting obsessive, I know…I’m sure you can all relate) the status changed from earlier this morning from “forwarded” to “being reviewed”. Somebody help!!!What does this mean??? It’s Sunday morning for heaven’s sake! This is not natural. We should be having breakfast in bed.</p>
<p>yeah man… okay. SO there are MANY theories of the status changes, haha like serious conspiracy theories that have been the talk of cc for months. </p>
<p>Your status before probably read what mine does right now… then it changes to forwarded for committee review and then apparently back to the old status.</p>
<p>No one really knows what it means— However, I BELIEVE that when you get forwarded SCA has made their decision as on the day people who have been accepted were forwarded their SCA letter was dated the same…</p>
<p>Some people say these status have no meaning and are just for USC to track your application. I think that it goes from SCA and then forwarded to USC committee for the final decision and back to the other status when they are done. (I’m sure someone will try and explain this better than I am right now— I am very tired and am going back to bed now ahha)</p>
<p>At this point I’m not sure if its positive or negative- just have to wait and see. Hope this helped for the time being I’m sure once dream or someone else sees your post they will be more than happy to share their insight as well</p>

<p>Yes, but it was 5am in LA when I noticed this change. What do you make of that? I do not think the admissions committee was up all night reviewing applications and entering changed statuses in to the system. It’s mysterious.</p>
