Anyone who has gotten in to sdsu for fall of 08' post your stats and any questions you may have. Good luck to everyone waiting on their decisions! And good job to everyone who was accepted; your hard work finally paid off. Now its time to go to a real school.

It's '08 (the apostrophe indicates omission of '20').

You might want to post this in SDSU's forum.

I found out yesterday that i am going to SDSU. I am very excited!!!!

Hey congrats to all who got in. Let me know as soon as you find out Cody.
Katibug, that's great. Good for you.

Will do Deb! And I sure hope that its soon because I am getting very anxious. It has been getting me pretty stressed out waiting and thinking about it. My muscles in my back have been tensing up and knotting. Its hard to even sit. Hopefully its soon. I am in state and have just a tad bit better stats than your daughter and she found out before me! Lucky Girl!

I can't imagine that you wouldn't get in. I know what stress can do. That is why I am relocating to SD. My job has given me an ulcer, back pain, jaw pain, sleeping problems, anxxiety problems, etc. The list is endless. I just put a deposit on my new apartment today. Looks like we will be moving just in time to attend the orientation. I am waiting to get the dates so I can organize everything.

It's really great to have you to commiserate with.

fingers crossed for you.

Very very bad news. I did officially get denied today. Yes denied with a 3.59 gpa and 980 on critical reading and math. I am sosoo sad. I cant believe it either. I just found out and CC is the first to know. This is very dissapointing. I dont know what to do . . .

Are you f'ing kidding me...I got rejected too. With a 3.5 and an 1100.

thats bs. I thought for sure that both of us would of gotten in. Do you think that it got that more competitive. GreatfulDeb's daughter got in out of state with a 3.58 gpa and an 950 on the sat c.r. and math.

I sure as heck didnt see this coming. At least sdsu isnt your first pick school. it flat out sucks

Yeah this is ridiculous....are you going to get put on the wait list...and what are your other options.

Yeah I got on the waitlist. I doubt that I will be let in though. Did you get put on the waitlist too. That really sucks. Was this your first choice school or are you thinking of Indiana still. I think I saw a post of yours talking about getting into entertainment. That is what I am looking to get into too. My options now are either cal state fullerton: major in communications w/ an emphasis in entertainment management or Univ of Nevada-Las Vegas: major in hospitality w/ an emphasis in events management and a minor in entertainment management. Which of these two would you say be good. What schools are you thinking of going too and which part of socal do you live in. I am in socal too

Yeah I have the option of being put on the wait list, but I'm not going to do it.

I have already been accepted to Indiana, Florida State, and University of Portland....so I'm not too upset, as SDSU wasn't my first choice, but I honestly feel I deserved to be accepted.

But yeah I'm still waiting on University of Miami, Pepperdine, and Loyola Marymount.

And I plan on majoring in business and minoring in communications. I want to eventually work for a TV company like Fox, Abc, Espn, etc.

But I'm almost positive I'm going to Indiana. It is my favorite school, and there business program is top 10 in the nation.

Oh well...good luck with wherever you go. Fullerton's major sounds more interesting...but Las Vegas is more fun.

I'm sorry, SDSU is f'ing stupid...you should have been accepted!

I just got accepted yesterday to the business school with a 3.3 and a 1330 combined. I have no problem meeting people if everyone else is trying to do the same, but I am not the most outgoing person in the world. I am a very active person, and would like to meet people that are the same. I was just wondering what I should put for my first choice, second choice etcetera for on campus housing? and any other advice would be appreciated since I'm new to all this. Thanks!

Eriginal - If you have a facebook, you should join the group San Diego State university 2012, Its a fantastic place to meet people that got accepted!!!

I got rejected and I don't know why. I'm currently at a community college in NY. My stats are:

56.5 units completed
3.83 GPA
Major: Business Admin
16 A's (calc, stats, college algebra, geo 1, geo 2, macro, bus law, acc 1, acc 2, eng 1, eng 2, marketing, management, finance, history 1 and information systems)
1 B (Microeconomics)
1 C (psychology)

are they really that tough on out of state students getting in?

i got accepted too! but dunno if im going is it a good school??? idk

I for got to post. I got accepted 2/19. Instate resident. 24 ACT and 1170 M+R and 1830 total. 3.7 UC GPA. Ap classes and dual enrollment at CC. I am excited to start freshmen year at SDSU. Probably will be attending, although upset my best friend was denied.

They must really be cutting back. I'm an instate Community College transfer and i got in with a flat 3.0 and not one pre req done for my major which is impacted business admin. I honestly was thinking about calling them and making sure they didn't make a mistake. I thought I had no shot because I failed two classes in Fall quarter and they didn't even get to see that I made them up. I'm sorry to those of you high school kids that got denied, but good luck wherever you end up!

Drekwins, the answer is . . .cc in NY. I think that may be the key. You are obviously qualified by the look of your college gpa. I wonder how many transfers they have from cc's in NY? Remember, this university is funded by California tax payers, and an instate advantage as a result. Mykris202, are you going to attend SDSU? Whatever you do, do not call to "make sure they didn't make a mistake"! You may not want to have them take a second look. Just go to SDSU and enjoy your very good fortune!
