Agghhhh, there’s still nothing… you guys got my hopes up! :)

I’m almost positive that while we don’t know the date, I believe we know the time. Isn’t it after 3pm? And I presume that is Pacific time. I highly doubt they will release during the school day.

I feel like I’ll find out from CC when decisions come out before my email…

okay, so i was on the stanford admissions news page again and was reading their last message. So basically it says “by Sunday, April 1 after 3pm (Pacific Time)”… the “BY sunday” indicates that it could come anytime before sunday, but will come sunday latest. But the “AFTER 3pm” indicates that it is for sure sunday, just anytime after 3pm… Any thoughts on this? I really really don’t want to wait all the way till Sunday! Especially because i’m international, and 3 pm really means 1 in the morning for me!

Its saying that the latest day will be April 1st but if it is released any day before April 1st then it will be after 3 pm on whichever day it is released. That’s how i interpreted it at least.

okay yeah, that makes sense. Let’s hope you’re right!

Argh! When is it ahh all this guessing

I think it’s fun to speculate. I am personally not interested in offering my own hypothesis, but am highly entertained merely by listening to everyone else voice theirs. :)

Having checked last year’s forum, someone posted on the 2015 thread at 2:45ish PM EST about Stanford’s announcement. I don’t know if they’ll announce it at the same time of day, but at any rate, I’m guessing they’ll tell us really soon if it’s going to be today. Otherwise, the wait continues.

If it really is today, GOOD LUCK TO US ALL.

I keep checking my email every 10 seconds. I feel like I am going to DIE before the result comes out aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah and if today is the day - good luck guys!

i think we can safely assume that decisions aren’t coming out today. it’s already 3:30 EST and no notifications have been sent out. i may be wrong, though, but it looks very unlikely at this point.

Gacgghhhgahgh. I really just want to know at this point. I hope it’s not tomorrow, that would be very hectic what with Ivy Day…

Since they announced a release time of by 3PM Pacific time, for 4/1, I would speculate that something could happen, today at 6:00 EST, as opposed to calling it a wrap as of 3:30 EST.

Tomorrow is going to be ridiculous for me. I have prom as well as finding about the admissions decisions. Already a nervous wreck. :/

mrvc: Yes, but in past years they’ve announced that it’s coming before it actually happens :P

carm33na: Hang in there! you’ll be okay! Have you already been admitted some places? and prom should be fun are you taking someone special? if you’re female, do you have a dress? :D

@ermsypermsy
Yes, I was admitted to Swarthmore a week or two ago. I’m taking of my close friends, so that will be fun. I have a dress. I’m pretty excited, I’m just getting nervous. I know regardless I’ll cry though! Haha. I mean, about the admissions decisions, not so much about prom. .

@carm33na: you are going to have a great time at prom AND it will take your mind off of college stresses. meanwhile the rest of us will be sitting at home/school just refreshing and refreshing…

wouldnt it be great refreshing a page refreshed your mind? that sounds weird but it makes sense in my head.

so are we still assuming they wont post on ivy day, and we will have to wait till friday? in a way i hope it’s like that, because i dont want stanford (whether it be good or bad news) to be grouped in with a kabillion other decisions…

i have very zen feelings on stanford: if i get in, i will be overjoyed and immensely proud, but if i dont, then ill still be chill because, after all ITS STANFORD. in the history of my school, only two people have ever gotten in.

@chickybugger I have a feeling I’ll end up doing the same thing while at prom. If Stanford’s decision is released tomorrow and I find out while I’m at prom I have a planned victory lap around the ballroom. . (heels off, of course.)

@carm33na, that is a beautiful image. any particular reason why your prom is so early/on a thursday? also, be careful not to stab someone in the eye when you throw off your heels with glee
