Did anyone find out their NJIT Honors College merit aid packages yet? If so, where can I go to view it? The online system never complies with me lol

@greensage ah ok, that makes sense aha
in the end, did you submit letters of rec/an essay?

I did submit letter of rec but I didn’t submit an essay… which is probably bad. I mean if I email one to them maybe they’ll be willing to add it to my file?

I got a letter saying that I had gotten a scholarship with NJIT honors program but it did not state the amount

Perhaps the most least known and least conpetitive program is the one through the University of South Dakota… It is only open to in state residents haha. Thought I’d share some other residency specific ones though I doubt anyone on here is eligible for that one besides myself

for njit, follow the directions that arrived with the original package that said you were accepted into the alber dorman honors college. itll help you set up your account+email and everything, so then youll be able to access your financial merit award(:

ah, ok. i was just curious(: its hard to say whether an essay would be added in time to make a difference anyways though bc invitations are supposed to come out in a week or so from what ive seen from previous posts about GAP (like around december 15 i think).

Njit honors college said that their merit aid will be mailed out mid-december. The one I got was a Faculty Scholarship for the regular undergrad. I got accepted to the honors college but no merit aid from that yet.

i already received my njit honors merit award, but maybe they havent all been sent out yet~

Yea the only scholarship I got from them is the faculty scholarship. It said on my honors letter that they will send out merit scholarships for honors college in mid december so idk.

hey guys. i was looking over my common app and realized a made a typo (put way less hours on my research) on one of my activities. is it possible to call the colleges to see if anything can be done?

if you’re applying for the medical program you might not find out until a bit later

oh wow really? that’s pretty fast compared to other schools

Help! Any one have suggestions on anything that can be done? I am worried this might mess up my chances with bs md apps.

@istrum123, I doubt it would make much difference as to whether you are asked for interview or not. If you are, you can clarify this at your interview. If the error was in your test scores or GPA, I am sure they would make sure that this is changed.

@IMGdad thanks! I am just upset that I missed it earlier before submitting. This whole application process is overwhelming along with senior year school load. Hope something works out at the end.

@istrum123, I am sure it would be okay. After all, for some students, the community work etc is ongoing. For example, my son reported spending 60 hours in a nursing home in his application, yet he has continued to go to the nursing home 4 hours a week since submitting his application in early September. Also, he is doing online schooling and he can finish his courses early. So, since sending his High School report with his GPA, his GPA has also gone up significantly. It would be so difficult to keep updating the information. He has clarified these issues in his UG interviews.

@IMGdad I agree.

@tamtiger, i would assume that since you created the threads for all of these BS/MDs, that you applied for all of them?(:

@asapaj5 Congrats!! how did they contact you for your penn/jeff interview? phone? email? my penn state? and when is it?
