@Veritas13 I just checked my portal. There isnât any difference. Iâll let you know if there is any update though. And thanks! (: Iâm very excited and nervous for my interview.
@indianboy2400â I noticed your stats in another thread and if anyone should get an interview for EMSAP, it would definitely be you. Considering that you would be instate, did you apply to EMSAP?
My son also has an interview with Stevens within next week. Those of you who had Stevens interview, please advice on how it was, and the kind of questions asked. Did they ask general questions or ethics questions or medicine related general questions ?.
Thank you for your feedback
I am from Florida.
In the state of Florida, there are 5 âBS/MDâ program.
U Miami, FAU (Fl Atlantic), UCF (Central FL), FSU, USF
They are not guaranteed BS/MD program. Most would require a bench mark GPA 3.6-3.7 , MCAT 32 (except FSU 28)
If you canât meet those benchmarks, you are free to apply to other med schools and their own host school under regular admission.
Any comment on acceptance to those programs?
Acceptance to those programs does not seem to cut you any slack.
Hey Iâm sorry but I recently heard news that could boost my programs a lot. Can anyone confirm?
I have little hospital experience and I am limited to any other medical experience because there sinply arenât that many opportunities.
So, I volunteered at a nursing home and home for people with special needs. I have a lot of hours there. Does this qualify as medical experience at all?
Are BU notifications all out already?
Also, has anyone heard anything from case western or rochester?
@Lucky139 Rochester has more than 1000 applications this year, I guess that is why it is taking time:

@Me4collegeâ Apparently there are 45-50 interviews and 10 spots. So weâre looking at 1% acceptance rate this year! It feels like this year is much more competitive than last year, perhaps more top students are finding out about these programs.

All BS/MD programs are guaranteed based on some rules. What you are stating still makes them guaranteed.
Not-guaranteed usually implies that they take more students than there are seats intending to weed some of them out.
Looking at last yearâs thread it seems Siena sends acceptance as well as rejection letters around this time.
Not sure if they do this in batches or this is just one time.

Does anyone know if BU notifies you if you got rejected?
@danceprincess124â @bsmdcanâ I had my Stevens interview in early December. The interview is very relaxed and is not specific to the medical program. They ask you things about your high school experience, what youâre looking for in a college, how you found Stevens , etc. The atmosphere is very laid back and it does not seem like the interview weights heavily into the bsmd decision, but that is just my opinion based on the aura of the interview. However, be sure to ask whether or not the program offers guaranteed acceptance to NJMS. Several of us received varying answers to that extremely important question. Best of luck!
@innocentwandererâ , from the last yearâs thread, BU sends rejection in March probably

@Me4collegeâ thanks! guess bu really does take their time with this process
Has anyone heard from Union or RPI after submitting the supplements? Not sure when we are supposed to hear from them regarding interviews.
@travelgirl2015â did you already submit your AMC supplement for Siena?
@Veritas13â read the comment #785 in this thread for supplement.
@ThreeRIversâ Mine said that on Thursday night but now it says âWe are in the final stages of review and an admissions decision will be posted here in the coming daysâ this again.
@Me4collegeâ
Iâm asking because if you check the official Siena website for the program, it says that âcandidates who are selected for an interview will receive an application from AMC.â So does the AMC app come after the interview? Is there a secondary interview then? Itâs possible that theyâve changed the admissions process without updating the website though.
