***Official Thread for 2015 BSMD applicants***

@chihuahua1‌ I haven’t gotten a Brown ID or anything to check my application status yet, just the email for the regular undergrad interview.

@tamade123 @chihuahua1 @danceprincess124 Over on the Brown forum people have not heard anything from Brown or gotten their portal information yet. Admissions was also closed over break so it could be a couple of weeks. Someone also called and Admissions told them this as well. Also, during the ED round, the first email received from Brown acknowledged your application and gave you your portal instructions at the same time. You also will hear nothing from PLME until you receive your decision (your college admission decision and PLME decision are in the same letter). Also multiple people have been contacted for interviews before hearing from Brown/Admissions (since the interviews are handled by the Alumni Association).

@Veritas13 - Thank you for letting me know. We will be watching out for the snail mail from Siena. Good luck in your interview. when is it?

@GoodDoctor‌
I was given a choice of six dates (from late January to early February) and I’m still trying to decide the best date so that I don’t have to miss too much school time. Good luck!

@ramchand I got a call and my interview date is still to be determined since I have scheduling conflicts.

@chihuahua1‌ @tamade123‌ I also applied Brown PLME and haven’t heard from UG or PLME at all.
Good to know others are also in the same pool.

Hey guys, I have my TCNJ interview tomorrow and had a really stupid, really urgent question: should I bring a padfolio? And also, business casual or business formal? I’ve only had alum interviews so far, but this is far more important, so I didn’t want to mess up. Tips?

@innocentwanderer definitely bring a resume and your AP scores with you, and your interviewer will likely give you some papers as well. Dress business casual… My interviewer was in jeans and a flannel but I was wearing a nice sweater and black pants. Also, the interview lasted me almost 2 hours, so bear that in mind!! But it’s not hard, so don’t worry. I’m assuming this is their 7 year accelerated med interview? Do you know who you’re interviewing with??

@jn9832 - My son too has an interview tomorrow with TCNJ for the 7 year Medical program. The interview is with Dr. O’Connell. Can you please tell us what type of questions are asked in the interview? Is it like a undergraduate interview or medical interview or both? If you do not mind, can you share specific questions? thank you.

@jb9832‌ Yeah, this is for their 7 year accelerated med; its the first interview (held on the undergraduate campus). I’m interviewing with Dr. Kress! Heard that she’s very nice!

@GoodDoctor‌ the questions certainly do have a lot to do with the med school aspect, and your son will be asked about “why med” many different times… From how you knew you want to be a doctor, why you want to be a doctor, what is it about whichever undergrad program you chose that will help you as a doctor, which classes in high school you enjoyed that will help you as a doctor… Tons of little things like that. Your son will need to be able to relate virtually everything to “why medicine” and really show a passion for it. There are a few questions about your undergrad major, but it all goes with the med theme. I personally think that this is similar to what to expect at a full-fledge med school interview. Good luck to your son!

@innocentwanderer‌ good luck! I hope it goes well :slight_smile:

@jb9832 Thank you so much for your help! I appreciate you replying so quickly with the type of questions to expect.

@collegepapa UTSA-FAME is supposed to send out letters in “mid-jan” so we should expect something here in the next two weeks…good luck!

@tdkeerthi UTSA Fame mails them out this Friday
