Does anyone know if BU office closes until January?
@bunnicula23 my penn state portal status changed to say the same thing. Does this mean I got an interview or am being considered for an interview? (Havenāt received an email yet, and portal changed Tuesday.)
@hell01134 I havenāt received an email yet. I think that penn state told jefferson about our candidacy and that jefferson has to process the information in order to send interview notifications. They might send us notifications once they return from vacation. However, I am still not sure if there is a separate screening process done at jefferson or if penn state decides who gets interviews. At this point, it is best to just wait and then call penn state on jan 4.

I also popped for the access to the MSAR & in all honesty, I question the accuracy of the data provided. There are inconsistencies in their reporting for 2 of the schools I looked up, CWRU PPSP & NEOMED. Iām thinking the discrepancy is probably due to the fact they arenāt using the most current data available.
NEOMED is the first one that really popped out. 1) The current freshman class entered with only 104 students 2) The program had a record 9 OOS students in this entering class 3) published stats donāt match MSAR.

CWRU PPSP is stating a significantly different picture in stats than that reported by MSAR.

If anyone has any insight into why the differences or even what yearās data MSAR is using, thatād be great to know. Right now, Iām kind of scratching my head.
Hi everyone! Does anyone know if the medical school looks at all your writing supplements for the undergraduate school? Would it be bad to be a little repetitive in my essays for the medical school? Asking for Brownās PLME program in specific. 
didnt get contacted by BU for an interview, im a bit worriedā¦ Do u guys think thereās still time for them to contact us? Also, does the quality of your application itself matter after you are at the interview stage or is the decision made solely based on your interview at that point? I have been notified for Penn State interview 3 weeks ago for any that were curious
@TinyDog7 brown plme is one application and med school is not a supplement so I would think that all essays and short answers go to the committee for review

Thanks everyone who replied to my BU app date and congratulations again for that. BU is a great program.
@SmartAlec, my son is in the same boat as you. He called BU but they said it can be any time from now until March! I also looked thru last years thread in detail and one very helpful CCer commented in detail on this, he confirmed that BU can indeed send notifications anytime. So we have to just hope for the best !
@TinyDog7 The additional essays required for PLME consideration are labeled separately as āPLMEā when you print them thus it is not clear to me that Brown Med school receives your entire application or just your PLME essays along with your summary profile. If you consider a particular point / message important then I suggest being redundant/repetitive in both sections. Use your discression of course.

Looks like MSAR data (Information on Entering Class) is from 2014, not 2015.

Has anybody heard of 2+4 or 3+4 BS-MD Combined programs at California Northstate University College of Health Sciences and College of Medicine ? This is in Elk Grove, CA and a completely new program/college. This is the only BS-MD combined program in California (UCSD has stopped their direct medical program from this year: 2016).
