Sax, last week another popular thread disappeared. Seems to be a feature of the “upgrade” – random disappearances. They did restore it after several days. Maine Longhorn was the one who helped us.
@sax, yes, the thread about LTS was deleted on purpose. CC doesn’t allow threads about past or current users.

The thread about LTS and sunriseeast were about far more than just their struggles. It was a source of support and comfort for many who were dealing with similar issues and reflects the best of what this community can be. Just saying…it was loving, supportive, non-political and in the Cafe. TPTB have been supportive of these threads (within reason) in the past, so am curious about the change.
The long threads from the past about LTS and sunrise east were NOT deleted. The one that was deleted was a new thread about LTS.

There is no way to bump up some of these old threads as they have been closed.
Last night there was a thread along the lines of ‘is it common for adult parents to pay for vacations’. It is just gone this morning. Still shows up under google searches - which link to ‘thread not found’. Why did this go away. It’s difficult to imagine how it might have violated TOS in a short 18 hours.
@dietz199, that thread might have been started by a user who was banned for some other reason (for example, starting an account after being banned previously). A lot of times, we will delete the user’s posts in addition to banning him or her.
I’m here by using the iPad application link. When I try to access through my browser (safari), I get a message that CC cannot open because the server isn’t working…or something like that.
What’s going on today?

Hello - I recently posted something that I wanted to come back to and edit later. I looked everywhere for the “edit” link and it never appeared. I found the FAQ which stated that the edit link is only available for 15 minutes, but I never saw it.
I tried two different browsers (Chrome and IE) and neither showed the edit. Can someone take a look at this?
Sorry I think I just figured out what happened. I hovered and then saw the gear wheel…Clicking on the gear wasn’t that readily apparent, so this may deserve some expansion in the FAQ.
The changeover was just about three months ago. I’d venture a guess that the way things are now is the way they will stay, for the most part. That “long list” of requested fixes? What are the chances that most of them will ever happen? CC users will just have to get used to the way things are now, for the most part. There may be a change here and there, but I don’t think there will be any major fixes from this point on.
Re editing: you can mouse over your post and you will see a gear-like icon on the right. Click on it and you’ll see the word “edit.” Click on that and edit, but you only have 15 minutes.

@sgopal2, hover over the area just above the top right of your reply A little gear icon should appear. Click on it, and you should see the “Edit” option appear (for only 15 minutes).
Can’t “hover” with a mobile device.

But in addition to posting, this also saved as a draft. Why does it do that?
