Official UC Davis Acceptance Thread

yup. that's me. you went to paly, too?

still waiting for a decision over here. i'm guessing no one is in the office on sunday so we wont hear from them until monday (hopefully). shrugs

I logged on at midnight on the 15th to check if I got in. AND I DID!!! I got rejected UCSC though which is a kinda making me freak out about my chances at getting into UCI and UCSB because I'm considering those two too.

congrats ohmike

mike: what were your stats? rejected from UCSC that's very weird...

oh and I actually got the acceptance from Davis through mail as well

hey everyone whos from DVC. im a HS senior, and im thinking going there next year. how is it?! are the conselors helpful? was it hell or was it not that bad?

I have a 3.3 gpa. Poli Sci's my major. I don't have much EC though. I worked during my first semester but then I quit because my grades were really bad. The only other thing I have are a couple of Model UN conferences.

is davis your #1 mike?

Well it's basically a coin flip between Davis and Irvine. I'd love to go to either one but right now I'm afraid that I won't even be able to make a choice.

Well if you go to Davis don't eat at the Pho shop there! They reuse the vegetables!

Haha! Thanks for the tip.

I got into UCSC on the 15th but haven't heard from Davis yet. I am an Econ major and didn't get my TAA. I got my IGETC finished and have a 3.3 GPA so just have my fingers crossed.

well, irvine is ranked higher than davis....but if i'd go for davis if u like its small town feel

Says who? The admissions figures certainly speak differently; Davis is harder to get into for transfers.

i had a 3.17, missing calc series, no EC's, no TAA and got into pre managerial econ.. so you guys shouldnt worry... although sometimes i feel that my families high income had something to do with it...

haha owned

40 and 48--wowwwwwww. There is still something to say about the fact that Davis is harder to get into: Irvine has about a 6 percent higher admission rate than Davis. We could look at a lot of different figures and come up with one school over the other back and forth.

Davis misreported their stats and dropped 6 spots. I am sure they won't miss report their stats next year and will jump back up.

gabe, we're not talking about difficulty of getting in. the ponit is, according to this source, davis is not ranked as high as irvine. get over it = )
