Official UC Irvine Fall 2017 Transfer Applicant Thread

@lenocturne thanks! so paranoid and confused haha fingers crossed we know soon!

@futureanteater97 Those dates look a bit odd. The dates posted for LA and Berkley are Saturdays (admissions offices are closed on weekends.) I’m not sure how accurate that is.

Anyone knows if I have a chance for UCI?
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.37
IGETC: Completed
Prereqs: Will Finish By Spring

Chances for me?
Major: Business Admin
GPA: 3.9 / Major GPA: 4.0
IGETC: Completed
Prereqs: Done

well obviously yes, why are you even asking ?
this is UCI post not UCLA or Berkley

I’m going to constantly spam this website because asking for chances is pretty annoying when there is data out there saying who got in for certain major.

I wish this website can be pinned because it has info for people who keeps asking chance me.
This website tells you the percentage of people getting in for a specific major.

according to this, I am screwed…
UCI rejection coming soon

I never should’ve chosen Computer science. Never thoughts about how extremely high the competition is. I wish I have chosen the least competitive Major and I would have way higher chance to get accepted to a top university

You should have put software engineering (non-impacted) like I did. But even then you have a higher chance than I do because I’m transferring out of CSU.

Yes I just emailed UCI counselor if I can have Software engineer as my alternate major. But I think it’s too late…

@ezcal11 according to assist admittance is given to “Junior-level
applicants with the highest grades overall” so i guess it depends on the applicant pool and also how many they admit. Last year i believe they admitted around 250, but the year before that only around 60. Merage sent me an email saying that they had over 11,000 applications for only 280 seats this year, but I’m not sure how many of those are transfer and how many are freshman, though. Best of luck.

Also, if you applied to Haas as well feel free to join us on the Haas transfer thread.

Passed 2 P.M. Anybody hear anything?

Not yet Zzzzzz Irvine the wait is too long

@TransferCS I know someone that just graduated from UCI with computer science. She had a 3.3 going in so youre good my friend

i hope Dude

what year she got accepted ?

@TransferCS 2014 I think.

oh yea, 2014 was less competitive than 2017 is

@TransferCS I just checked 2014 and youre totally right. But still hoping for you to get in. Don’t get discouraged!

it keeps increasing each year, last year it was 3.53 this year it will probably be 3.58. I have 3.37, now luck will play the role here.
so If I get lucky I will get accepted.
