@shayhello17 Welcome to PSB, if you have any questions about the program don’t hesitate to PM me. Also there is a FB page for the PSB program. UCI has a ton of facebook group pages, but to join them you first have to get your UCI email active. After that ask to join the irvine groups facebook community, then from there you can choose specific groups.
@sodapop111 Yeah, I got an acceptance update at 11 pm. I checked pretty much every five minutes so I am sure it was at 11, give or take a few minutes. My situation is a little weird though. I TAG’d but when I called admissions eight hours prior, they said my TAG did not go through. My last name starts with G. Good luck to you, I hope you get in.

I have a 3.43 gpa
I applied for eart systems science, but then realized that’s a bad idea because I received a C in biology.
I changed it 2 days ago to Anthropology.
They accepted the change in major, but I haven’t heard back yet.
I have completed all of the pre req classes. And I think my essays are great.
I have tons of community service hours as well.
Is it maybe taking longer because I just changed my major?
Do I still have a shot??

@bollege101 i dont think so. Ppl keep getting results day after day. Last year, My friend got accepted on April 29th…;; even tho she did tag. My boyfriend has 4.0gpa and he’s still pending. Their major both econ. So wait a bit more!
Pending, here is my status:
Major: computer sci
GPA when applied: 2.7ish (very low)
GPA after Fall: 3.3 ish (repeat a few courses that getting significant increased)
During Spring time I also did an academic renewal but I was not able to change the previous grade in TAU. So I noted this in TAU comment.
After AR:
GPA: 3.5 ish
Transfer GPA: 3.6 ish
IGETC: Done by Spring
Pre-req: Done by Spring
But I am not sure how my GPA looks like at the admission counselor!!!
I got waitlisted by UCI.Applied for Psychology major… Other UCs are all linguistics major.

@TransfertoUCLA i agree. I understand there might be a pattern in regards to acceptance->waitlist->rejection but keep in mind only a fraction of applicants are actually posting on this thread so who knows. Could be acceptances and rejections everyday that we aren’t hearing about.
@BackNSchool83 By any chance do you know if last year people from the waitlist with the major of PBS were able to be admitted into UCI & get in the program? Would you consider PBS to be a “impacted major”/ people apply more than what the program actually accepts?
