<p>And if your son is who I think he is, you did a wonderful job raising him. He kept me sane this past election cycle!</p>
<p>Wow I feel like people are really overthinking the whole admission game (including my parents, admittedly). I’ve been waitlisted at WashU and UChicago so far, but I haven’t lost my hope. And in the worst case scenario, I have Michigan, and I’m sure I’ll have a great 4 years there too.</p>
<p>All of you are very bright individuals, and I’m sure you’ll find a great place to spend your college years at, so don’t be discouraged! I still have 10 more decisions to go, but I’m keeping my head up because I don’t know what I could expect! Good luck to all of you, and congratulations to those of you who got accepted! :)</p>

<p>I’m just curious, does anyone have any idea of how conservative UChicago was with accepting people and/or what we could potentially expect for waitlisted applicants?</p>
<p>@lilyy96 according to a news post on the alumni website they sent 2676 acceptances and usually have about 1400 in each class.</p>

<p>Haha got the Northwestern packet before UChicago even though the decisions were almost a week apart. The only reason I’m anxious is because I want to know if I’ll get a shirt or something!</p>

<p>Got an email from Fedex saying UChicago have sent me something (im an international student) but it seems to only be a letter size package so i doubt theres going to be a tshirt in it :(</p>

<p>My DD received her packet yesterday - and it is very impressive. An official certificate of admission suitable fro framing if you want. </p>

Received my packet the other day and was thoroughly satisfied. Very generous aid and a nice little admissions certificate.</p>

<p>Just received my financial aid award and estimated total costs were over $65,000! Is this unusual? Also, I received $4,000 from an Outside Agency Scholarship/Grant but was never notified that I received a scholarship. Would this be considered a “merit” scholarship?</p>
