add stats if you want to!

oh and lets make it a list, so add yourself to the bottom of the list when you get your letter.

cc user name, first name, accepted/rejected/deferred
...etc.

Andy, deferred

32 ACT 10% in class, 2 sports, clubs

add yourself to the map! http://www.frappr.com/uchicago2010ea

Matt, Accepted

31 ACT, 11/12 writing; Rank: 3th/~200; 3.91 unweighted GPA; not much on the EC's, but it was definitely the recs and essays that did it for me.

do you all live in/near chicago?

how long do you think it will take to reach long island (ny)?

smoeone from long island said they had already received their decision

ouch.. does that mean i got rejected/deferred?

i saw in a different thread that if you get yours later it means you weren't accepted?

not true, at least i dont think it is

=\ i hope so...

i don't think that's true, unless chicago pulled an MIT

what happened with MIT?

chicago did pull what princeton was reported to have pulled, very interesting

MIT sent out the acceptances on Monday but completely failed at sending out the rest...

I live literally 15 miles or so from the campus (in Elmwood Park), thus it was expected that the mail would arrive today. This was mailed first-class, so I anticipate that most of you guys will get your decisions tomorrow. I wish the best of luck to all of you.

Congratulations, mCsHaDyPL!

Thank you, ohio mom. I definitely remember your extremely kind words of encouragement from a couple of months ago. Believe it or not, it helped me realize that I was capable of being accepted to such a school despite my many limitations. Again, I sincerely thank you.

Glad to be of help, mCsHaDyPL!

Last year the letters, of all kinds, were received at variable times, and were sent regular mail, first class.

Andy -
do your best for midyear grades - and remember to send in an update of your accomplishments since the application. It's hard maintaining focus through this disappointment - but unlike certain ivies that shall remain nameless, Chicago only defers you if you have a vaild shot RD.
