Official UCI Transfer admittance Thread

Stupid UCI email made my heart not only skip one but 2 beats

Lmao, I fell for it. SIGH.

I know people who got in last year really really late like past june… but that year was different because TAG was 3.0 and over and was more than one school… im just hoping admissions come out this week man ■■■■ im dieing alrready…

Last year I waited around May 6th to hear back.
After talking to my admissions counselor and to a professor of mine who knew people at admissions they told me that:

 1. If they over admit at the beginning, they will wait a little bit past April to see how many people will sit UCLA and UCB, to see how much more room the will have.
 2. If your transcript has other 4 years, and it is hard to analyze it will take longer

Anyone receive an admission packet in the mail?

^ admission packet? i think for uci the email comes first/portal.

Portal updated 4/09/12…maybe getting some decisions tonight/tomorrow?

astef001// i don’t think that means anything. that changed once like two~three weeks ago but nothing came out on that day.

but the other day when it changed decisions came out a little bit after.

Yeah it could be a coincidence I guess…Just made me a little more hopeful.

I meant from those accepted

@johnnyl91
i got a packet about 3 days after the portal notification. it was just 2 pieces of paper; an official acceptance letter and an info sheet with the conditional terms

@navymike192
if you don’t mind me asking, what were your conditional terms? Like are they things you have to complete or do before a certain time or you can’t attend?

My conditions were just to maintain a 3.2 gpa and. 2.0 for my final semester. No specific class grade requirement.

Accepted but nothing in the mail yet. I got in with TAG / Econ Major. :slight_smile: (Got in last week, btw)

the conditions are that i have to complete 60 units, maintain an overall GPA of 3.2, get at least 2.0 for the spring semester, and pass my physics class. i thought it was weird that they only specified the physics class considering that the other 2 classes I’m taking are also pre-reqs (multivariable calc and linear algebra/differential equations) and i have to pass ALL of them to have 60 units

Anybody else see “No SIR fee due with SIR submission” on the SIR page?

I have question. So I was reading around UCI’s transfer website and I read somewhere that current UCI students must take classes in sequential order to receive credit. For example, they have to take Math 2a then 2b and not 2b then 2a. So what I was wondering was, does this apply to Prospective UCI students as well? Because in my first semester at my CCC I took Math 3 (multivariable calculus) since I got a 3 on my AP Calc BC test. Sometime in my first semester I realized that a 3 on my AP Calc BC test would only get me Math 2A pre-req, so I took Math 2 which is equal to Math 2B. So in essence I took my classes out of sequential order. Basically 3 then 2. Would I still get credit for these classes?

I’m still waiting…

Major: Biological Sciences
IgetC and all pre-req’s Complete + 99 transfer credits
No Tag
GPA: 3.4

I’m so nervous. :(

i don’t even have the option to SIR
